Water stenciling

Yes, water stenciling is the Technique Lovers Challenge at Splitcoast this week.  There is a technique video to help you see how it is done....easy and cool effects!

This card uses a stencil over Distress Oxide inks and then water is spritzed on and a paper towel over the open areas after a few minutes......  I stamped and fussy cut the MFT images and used Copics to color them.  A few dots and dashes using a white gel pen.....A Recollections cloud stencil was used for the sky.  Always happy to ink up stamps that I have not used before.  I will give this to my hubby!

This is the other side of the stencil, spritzed with water....  and a paper towel over it....  I looked up the Teapot Tiesday post- we make cards for people having health challenges or something in their life where they need a boost.  I so love this challenge.  This is for a woman who broke her Tibia/Fibula and is on crutches...she also teaches math, so we were challenged to have a number on the card.  The image has numbers on it, so perfect!  I left the lighthouse uncolored, I like it this way.  I made a walkway out of grey cardstock, scored it and highlighted it with a Copic marker.  I added dots with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is Unity- and it is a new adventure using crutches- my hubby broke his fibula playing baseball a couple of years ago.....!  Inside sentiment (Unity)  says- Hope you feel better a little more each day. The Lighthouse is fussy cut- and is from Divinity Designs.

Challenges: TBA

Thanks for stopping by!
