Background fun!

I dug a Gelli plate print out of the box today for a Mini-VSN card with the theme of Butterflies.

This looks like it is raised with texture, but it is actually not..... the panel was die cut and added to a white card base- I put shimmery Washi tape at the top and bottom of the panel.  I die cut the butterfly in black and white so it would make a shadow effect.  The sentiment was cut out three times and layered, then Wink of Stella added to the top of it.

This background is the Technique Lovers Challenge at Splitcoast- fun and easy too!  I brayered 3 colors of acrylic paint onto a white cardstock, then placed a stencil over it and used a baby wipe and wiped off color.  I added white Signo pen and black Pitt pen accents to the sides of the boxes... and added the butterfly die cut and some rhinestones.  (This die was in a case with Memory box dies- not absolutely positive it is Memory Box though).

NO STAMPING on these cards- isn't that crazy!

Posting a few cards from his past week : )  I am having a little trouble sitting very long, so creating in short segments : )
This first card is created using no stamps : )  It id for the 50th Anniversary of Anitas Aunt and Uncle in the Netherlands.

This was created using the Sketch challenge from this past week. I used the couple die from Die-Versions.

I sorted out my Digital images, and found this fun Leprechaun and the sentiment is from Graciellie Designs.  The image is colored using Copics, the gold frame it sits in is by SU. The background is Distress Inks.

For this card, I used the Scan and Cut to trim out one of the images, then used the open shape as a stencil.  I used multiple greens for the background in all of the Distress Inks in greens. There are white circles for Bohek in the background, but it does not show up too well.....   The shamrocks and the corners matched, so used them in unison.  I had to add something next to the Sentiment- this card was begging for it.....  so I added the Washi and the enamel dots.

This weekend, the mini VSN is opening up for all to join in...we stopped on the way home about a month ago, and decided- nope! DO not NEED to go........

Which picture can you imagine yourself safe and upsurpassed into ?  The beach, the oalm y=trees- nope.)

I am guessing a little deep may need preparing for moon -shines- gotta .eh smaller paths
Have a great week!

Jan's Digital Stamps mid-month post

Jan has released a new Easter set that I am so in love with!!!  I created my mid-month card using it!

and a close up of the layering of the cross image:

The images from Jan's Digital Stamps come black and white OR precolored. I used the precolored images : )  I printed the cross three times- the first was die cut, the 2nd- I fussy cut and included the cross and the flowers, and the top layer is just the flowers. The layers are popped up using foam tape.
The yellow base uses Distress Oxide inks on glossy cardstock from Marco's papers. The ink was smooshed and spritzed on my craft mat, then dabbed onto the glossy cardstock and dried before adding the next layer of color.  Then, the Amber color of DOX was added through a Memory Box stencil.
The green layer is cardstock from JFF- from Tuesday Mornings. I used an embossing folder and topped off the top and edges with Wasabi green ink.
The sentiment comes with the set- and I printed it out and added it atop of a punched card piece inked up using Walnut Distress ink.
The mail layer is cut out using a die from CC Designs. I fussy cut the greenery on the edges for the "Out of the Box" technique.

I hope you will join us for the February challenge at Jan's Digi challenges- Anything Goes all month!!!

Classy Card Ladies monthly duel

The classy card ladies 'due;' on the 15th of each month (formerly known as the dueling darlings).

This month, Debby (team Pearls)  and Suzy ( team Diamonds)  chose the theme of Cactus.

I went with the no lumpy or bumpy for mailing, so just used the image- Cactus Mail from Impression Obsession and the DP.  The DP is Paper Studios. The image was colored using Copics and the sky SU ink. I added WInk of Stella to the frame and the moon on both images.

Take #2. Such beautiful DP, I hated to cover it up...!  My husband absolutely loves this image- guess he is getting tired of the snowy winters in the Midwest : )

Here are the links to the other Pearls and Diamonds- hop on around to see what the other ladies made with the exact same kits : )

Under HIS Feathers and a fun fold

I have a couple of cards to post today.

This was a fun background to make- it is a challenge at Splitcoaststampers called Technique Lovers Challenge..aka TLC.  We used a coffee filter, scrunched it up, and added colors using a baby wipe.
The image is by Create with TLC and is a digital image.  I colored it using Copic markers.

I pulled out some older and retired SU DSP for the Card Sketch this week at SCS.  The front flap opens up for writing a note.  The DP set had a sheet with flowers made out of overlapping hearts.  I cut out 2 of the flowers and layered them after doing some shaping.  I added a rhinestone in the center of the flower. The sentiment is from a set made by MFT.

Hope you are having a great week- we are sheltering in place and trying to keep warm.  We are having a real winter this year!!!

Love U

A fun inspiration challenge- colors, I added brads and also for the MIX challenge to add hearts.  This fun stamp is set up for winter themes, but a heart fit in his (their) arms beautifully.

The background is made using shaving cream and reinkers. The images are by Sunny Studios. The hearts are a punch and an AI background from my stash.  I used the same background for the letters- and used a Tonic Studios die to cut out the letters from the AI background and a black cardstock. The heart brads in black are really old stash- by recollections.
I used Copics for a little coloring and a white Signo pen for some white highlights.

Hedgehog and Mouse : )

Creating with the theme of P is for Pastels for the Alpha challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

I used a light blue linen cardstock for the base, and inked up this sweet Penny Black image,  I added Distress inks in blue and green using a light touch to white cardstock, diecut out the panel and added a punched Martha Stewart border and some twine.  The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamps.

While I was in a pastel mode, I inked up this sweet image that I stamped at my friend Hetty's house while visiting her (in the Netherlands). It was perfect for the Newsprint challenge at SCS.
When I inked up the background, it was a different cardstock, so the color does not match perfectly, but still OK.  Love this little chilling mouse!  The image was colored using Copics, the outlying colors are Copics and both skies are Soft Sky ink using A Colorful Life sky stencil.

Hope you are having a fabulous week!  I am staying 'inside' and watching the snow and cold through my window!

I have joined in the sketch challenge gals at SCS- invited to join for 6 months!  Wahoo!  This is the first week and I am loving this sweet sketch!

I used the Sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers for this fun card.  The image is a digi from Graciellie Designs. I also used the color challenge at Splitcoast this week (there are 2 options). This DSP is really old SU. I used Copics in neutral colors to color the pup. (E42).

Jan's Digital Stamps has a new and fun image and I really enjoyed using it! It is called Up, Up and Away,

The lowest hot air balloon was printed twice and the 2nd image was cut using the Scan & Cut. I used It's a Colorful Life cloud stencil and Soft Sky SU ink for the clouds. The middle image colored using Copics. The other 2 images are pre-colored. The Slimline dies are by Gina Marie.

and a second card
