Virtual Stamp Night part 2

The challenges for VSN went live Friday, and I had a fun time creating.  Here are a few more cards created for the challenges.

This card was made for the VSN Mini challenge and the theme was to use 2 blues. The main panel is a Shaving Cream and Brusho technique. I cut out a Memory Box floral diecut. The sentiment is white embossed on back cardstock- and is by Hero Arts.

This card is for a California Girl theme- Surfin Safari.  The images are all SU and Distress Inks are used for the background. I think it would be great to be here right now..... : )

This stamp set is unmarked, so not sure where it is from, the cards are by Hero Arts.  The theme for this challenge is Summer in the City- no one on the roads- they are at the beach in the scene above : )

There are 22 challenges total, so lots of different cards to create- stop by and play along!

This weekend is Virtual Stamp Night = VSN at Splitcoast.  A challenge is posted each hour and there is a theme to follow.  There is a musical theme for the challenge.

This is for the classics challenge by Lisa- show a classic rose.  I love this image by IBFS/Stampinback.  The image is colored using Copics and I used a frame from a Gina Marie die. The sentiment is white embossed using a Hero Arts sentiment. A few sequins finishes the card off.

This cute feline cowboy is for the Cowboy hats challenge. This set is by Newton's Nook.  It is colored using Copic markers. Yee-haw!

Alpha "M"

The Alpha challenge at SCS is on the letter "M" his week.  I have a love for the House Mouse stamps, so used one on my card this week.

The image is colored using Copic markers.  The background DP was too pretty to cover up completely, so I die cut a portion of the die cut rectangle smaller than the actual size of the die cut b
y simply moving the die over a bit.

Sunshine and laughter

Today (Wednesday) is the posting day for the Alpha crew at SCS.  Our letter (s) for this week are L and S and we must use both.

I had recently stamped this image and sent it in a card kit and had this left over image sitting on my desk. Isn't it perfect for this challenge?  The image is Great Impressions and the sentiment is Hero Arts. We all have different interpretations of the letters for this challenge, and that is the best part of it.

I used Distress Oxide Inks for this card for the background. I used a white gel pen over the water. The die cut is Memory Box stitched circles.

New Water Color challenge at SCS

Today was a productive day in the craft room.  The watercolors came out for the new challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  There was a great video to watch and I will go back and watch it again.  Here is what I created:

I used Distress inks for my water coloring.  This card is done in 2 colors of each color group, green, pink and purples. The image is by Unity and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

This card uses the same mage and sentiment as you can see. The inks are also the exact same. The wash on the background was done using the green and pinks on the palate- I would guess that mixing the colors would turn to a muddy brown, but following the video, I mixed them and it is OK.  I decided to dip a little pink and green on the backing as well. The die is Gina Marie and the gems are Unity.

Challenges: TBA

Make the World Beautiful Day

Tomorrow, 6/11 is Make the World Beautiful Day. The Bugaboo challenge blog is at Catch the Bug. Today, we are posting NOT for any challenge, but for Humor Me Wednesday.

This sweet floral image is called Floral Frame 01.  I love to color, and this floral has been printed and ready to go for a while, so I inked it up using Copic markers. I added some shimmer using a Sakura Gelly roll pen.
The sentiment stamp is by Heart and Soul, I can find stamps on google, but not a website, I think they have closed.

Teapot Tuesday -Tea Party

At Splitcoaststampers, there is a sweet Teapot Tuesday challenge post to send an uplifting card to someone going through a rough patch.  This week, our challenge is to bring something we need for a tea party , eg a doily, napkin, or sweets.

I decided on sweets for the tea party.  I rarely eat donuts, but a perfect fun treat to share with a friend!  The bear and sentiment are from Gerda Steiner Designs. The donuts by Crafty Sensations (From the Netherlands).
The background panel is distress inks, and using circle punched cardstock for a stencil, I bleached out little circles over it (for the Ways to Use it challenge at SCS). Next, little white splatters were added.
The image was colored using Copic Markers. I added twine and an edge punch by Martha Stewart.

House Mouse challenges are all AG, but they asked for Gingham this week.  I added that in the clouds, which are dies by Memory Box.

The cute mouse is House Mouse by Stampendous, and the sentiment is Verve.  I also used the 'cones' from a set by Firecrackers Designs by Pamela. The green grass stitched die (which is a snow bank die) by MFT.

I made this card for the Alpha J challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I used Gingham for the clouds for the current House Mouse challenge

Brusho's and Cream

Happy June!  The Technique Lovers Challenge at Splitcoaststampers yesterday was an interesting challenge to use the Shaving Cream technique but to add Brusho's in it  (if you have them).

Glossy White cardstock was placed on top of the shaving cream & Brusho's.  I decided to embosses this beautiful floral image over the background. The Sentiment by Hero Arts is white embossed on black cardstock.

Jan's June AG challenge

For the June challenge at Jan's Digital Stamps, I used a digital stamp image called #1 Dad

This card uses a technique I learned in the Spring Card Class 2, a way to add a shaker to the top of the card. This beautiful precolored image by Jan's was a perfect image for a Father's day card, and it was surprisingly quick and easy to print and trim!

The challenge for June starts today- and is always AG- so come join in!!!  If you use a Jan;s Digital image, there is a drawing for that as well!
