More VSN cards

I am getting out images that have not been used (in a while anyway) and dies too and creating more VSN cards: )

I have had this clock die cut for about 10 years..... time to get it out!  I used the color challenge at Splitcoast for the Alpha challenge T=Time. This is also for a VSN challenge to use text on the background- which is Firecracker Designs by Pamela. I love this cute running mouse!
I am going to enter this into House Mouse and friends Monday challenge- as a AG entry!

This is for the VSN challenge 'Tipsy' aka I used Alcohol inks.  I put a piece of felt on a protractor, added AI's to it and then blending solution, then dragged it across the page. Some of the lighter inks are Copic refills : )  I added a Simon Says Stamps floral die. The Hello die cut and shadow was sitting on my desk- no clue where it is from......

This card is for the VSN challenge Feathers. I love bird watching, and we presently have lots of robins in our yard, so I thought I would take that as inspiration for this card. It is my first time using these dies I bought at a stamp sale : )  This is for a friend that is close to being put on Hospice for Cancer...it is spreading and wreaking havoc in her body.  So sad!

VSN day 2

Another few hours of stamping..... The VSN or Virtual Stamp night theme is 'In a Word'.......

 This word: Numbers

The image is Art Impressions and it is colored using Copics. Pale Plum ink and shimmery Washi is added to the background. The purple panel is Pale plum and then it is added again thru the stencil.

This is: Monochromatic

I used a Gelli plate brayered Distress inks for the tulips- embossed using White EP. There is a pierced background on the black layer. I am trying more CAS cards, what do you think?

This is: Lace

Oh, I loved trying this- I made 3 images in a row of the butterflies, raised the middle one, die cut the panel and added a dainty lace to the top and bottom.  The image is Unity and I added COpic coloring and lace.

VSN=Virtual Stamp Night Day 1

This past weekend was VSN at Splitcoaststampers.  I joined in but still have a few cards to complete to be done with all of the challenges : )

The first challenge was BUMPY.  We are to add Embossing (modeling) paste or make the surface bumpy.  I used a stencil and added SSS gel glitter gel to the 'Bumpy' areas. The image and sentiments- MFT.

The next challenge was LIGHT aka, just stamp and add that layer to the base cardstock. This is a Whipper Snapper image and sentiment, and I colored using Copics.

Finally- REVITALIZE.  Per the challenge - used 3 greens, a sentiment that reflects Life or vitality.... and something that was or is alive....
Nothing like the leaves coming back to our trees that have had bare branches all winter!  I used a Die-Versions background die and added greens to it, placed it over the Garden Green card and added a Unity sentiment and SU die cut leaves in Gold Glitter cardstock.
More cards to come- I do have more to complete before I have all of the challenges complete!

Stamping Fun

Some stamping from last week. First, a card for a gentleman that just found out he has colon cancer- via the Teapot Tuesday challenge at Splitcoast.

The images are Newtons Nook. The inking is all done using Distress inks. I do not have a sun die, but do have one for First Communion, so I die cut that and added a punched circle in the center.

This sweet card was made for a baby shower. The image is by House Mouse. It was colored using Copic markers.  I am entering it, last minute, at the House Mouse and Friends Challenge

Happy Easter

Jan's Digital Stamps has some adorable and sweet images for Easter this month, and I enjoyed using The Easter Hippity Hop set to make this scene.

What I love about Jan's Digi Stamps is that you get the stamps Black/White AND Precolored!  For this card, I used the precolored Bunnies, and the eggs in front art colored using Distress inks. I used a stencil and distress inks for the clouds.

And, there is a sale on the new sets released for March!

We hope you will join us in the challenge this month- our theme is always Anything Goes! You can drop by using THIS link.

Happy St Patrick's Day and more

I had to ink up this St Patrick's Day House Mouse image : )   In Ireland, that would be St Paddy's Day.....

For the House Mouse and Friends challenge, they want us to make our own backgrounds. Out came the Distress inks, and Lucky Clover and Rustic Wilderness. I had a small shamrock punch, and I inked on DI thru that to make the pattern in the background.  Next, I splattered on droplets of water. I love the shade of green and its perfect for the Day!  The image is colored with Copic markers. I had to add a touch of shimmery Gold cardstock too. The sentiment is by CC Designs.

I dug into my drawer of Washi tape and grabbed some black and white colors.  I added them to cardstock, as you can see, in a diagonal pattern.  For the alpha challenge, our challenge was R=ride, so I grabbed the bike Washi and added it in the mix.  I die cut this bike by Die-Versions three times. I colored using Copics and thought red would just pop- and it does : )  Nothing says Spring like Tulips and a bike ride!  The sentiment is by Graciellie Designs.

Have a great day- hope you can enjoy some Corned Beef and Cabbage- if you live in the states!  I know in Ireland people do not eat these 2 together!  LOL

Stampin Time : )

I am slow to post my makes from last weeks Stamping time with friends online.  I joined in for a challenge on Splitcoast- cards for a Dad and his daughter that lost their mom in January.

This one is for the daughter, among the things she enjoys are flowers. I also used the SCS color challenge for this card, and have all 3 colors in the leaves of the flower. I also had to add ribbon and a circle, so used the Memory Box Stitched circle to die cut the image.
I am going to link this card to the House Mouse Monday challenge- flowers or AG.

For the Dad, who had been married for 57 years, i
he's a golf lover, so I pulled out dome older images from Amuse. I used G45 cardstock with these images. I hope our shower of cards bring them warm thoughts and smiles.

March New Release at Jan's Digital Stamps

There are three new release sets this month at Jan's Digital Stamps!!! I love all of them, but the Shamrock Wishes set grabbed my heart!

My card is a circle step card. I cut out the circle in green, and added SSS Glitter gel in gold thru a stencil.  Once it dried, I added pre-colored images, and a Cricut cut shamrock.

I used a challenge at Splitcoaststampers for this one- the Sketch challenge, The DP is by Authentique over a gold shimmery cardstock. The colors go together better IRL : )

Pop on over to Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge Blog for more inspiration by the DT! And, Jan's shop has some great Spring and Easter sets on sale now : )

Zoom makes

I had a nice day Zooming with cardmaking friends this week. I worked on challenge cards.

This was my Alpha P=petals card for the Alpha challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I love birds, and especially hummingbirds, so colored up this image. How fun to use the Fuchsia flowers to get a ride on a birds back.  What a thrill!
The DP is Teresa Collins and the die cut is Gina Marie.
I am entering the Spring flowers challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge with this card.

This was for the Teapot Tuesday challenge at SCS,  We send cards to people in need of a boost, or with health challenges.  This week, our recipient is mid 20 year old who has ALS.  Hope this card puts a smile on her face!
The image is by Unity Stamp Co., and is colored using Copics.  I used A Colorful Life cloud Stencil, and my blending brush, which I did a quick test on, had green in it....grrrr  so, I did some fiddling and tried to make the sky look acceptable......
This is a stamp I think I will get lots of use out of!
