It's now the 17th,,,,,,on the 15th, we post for the Dueling Darlings- which is broken onto 2 groups= the Divas and the Dazzlers.
Carol and I are the Hostesses this month- Carol of the Diva's and me for the Dazzlers. Each of us sends out a card kit to our group and everyone makes a card with the theme we have chosen.
The theme this month is "Give Thanks". Even though it is Thanksgiving, we want to focus on what we are thankful for. I made my kit using fall colors, which is another goal for our kits this month.
Finally, we asked everyone to mention something they are thankful for.
I am Thankful for family, and for some time with my daughter in Virginia this past weekend- the trees are just Gloriuos there!
My Kit:
Digital images by Mo's Digital Images- I was unaware of the Angel Policy when I shared the image, but did get permssion from Mo- please check the angel policy if you share images- I will not share Mo's images ever again!

Glittery Washi Windows
The new Technique Junkies newsletter is online! I really love this newsletter- it is sooooo much fun!
I am in a blogging group on SCS, and this card is one I made for an exchange- and used Washi Tape as our monthly challenge. I used the new technique Glittery Washi Windows for my card.
I used an Amuse stamp (trees) and embossed it on a shimmery cardstock from Paper Temptress. I cut out the deer die from Sweet Stamps (love this die) and added the digi sentiment from McMahon Five Designs.
I rec'd this beautiful card from my swap partner Kelly from Sandcastle Stamper:
Kelly has also decorated the inside of the card : )
Challenges for my card:
Cute Card Thursday- Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey- Use a die cut
Southern Girls- Animal Antics
Inkspirational- Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp- Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesdays- Anything Goes
Craft Room Challenge- Heat Embossing
Thanks for stopping by!

Whats the Buzzzzzz-Day 5 of Michael Strong
This is my final day of posting cards as the Card Captain at the Michael Strong Yahoo group. I used a fun new stamp called Hannah's busy Bee. I used a portion of the stamp, as you can see......
This is such a sweet stamp- I stamped it and cut some of the hexagon's apart. The sentiment is by McMahon Five Designs.
Again- the background is from the Technique Junkies (2004) newsletter - this is one of the first techniques I tried when I joined- this one uses Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie.
I made the background with a cut out of an SVG I cut from Bird's blog (Background 4)- covered it with Modge Podge and now use it as a stencil. I simply daubered on Pumpkin Pie ink. I embossed a strip on the Lt- a honeycomb embossing folder that is about an inch wide by Sizzix and highlighted over the top of that with Pumpkin Pie ink as well.
If you happen to have just one Michael Strong stamp and want to get daily inspiration in your mailbox, come join the Yahoo group. It is a fun group with monthly challenges plus a Sketch Challenge- and not too much chatter...... and on occasion, Michael has giveaways too......
Challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks- Dry Embossing
The House that Stamps Built- Monochrome
Ruby's Rainbow- Things with Wings
Creative Craft Challenges- Stitching
Cuttlebug Mania- S for Shelly and Stitching/Sewing, Salted ( and Peppered) background
Lady Anne's Challenge- Monochrome- my 2nd entry

M5D Falling Leaves........
Well, I figured out how to select 'weld' (Lt click and not Rt click), then select tight...and now I can move the image to anywhere I want it to be on my page. So, I went click crazy and filled the page with leaves- placed the sentiment in the center.......
Now I just have to figure out how to make a scene.........
I used a Technique Junkies technique called Distress Dip- which I did after the images were printed on the cardstock. I decided to be really crazy and make the leaves dimensional and cut out duplicates of all of the leaves and dipped them too- just in a tiny bit lighter so they would stand out a touch...... I love fall colors....

McMahon Five Designs Release 7/2/12
McMahon Five Designs has gone to Monthly Releases for the Summer- it has been a nice break, but I really enjoyed creating this week!
Studio 313 has released a number of new files today- all are visible on my previous post.
I had to learn to merge digital images. I was able to move the flourishes and birds and the sentiment closer together, but still need to learn to 'merge' images to make a scene.
The birds are layered up on the flourishes already- I printed the images out on Cryogen White and Kraft cardstock. I printed more of the images out on blue cardstock and fussy cut the birds and 'layered them up' .
I sponged some SU Marina Mist on the edges and on the background embossing. I also added some small splatters of Creative Inspirations Sapphire paint - love the special shimmery touch that adds!
Next, I used some Prima Songbird DSP and left the card CAS....really- I am giving it a try!
I used R02 to add color to the jewels and added them to the sentiment panel. I added a line of stitching to the outside and decided to stop....... I think this sentiment will be awesome for Graduation cards- I am going to stamp a sentiment about 'soaring' on the inside.
There is a SALE right now on selected items in the store-be sure to sign up for the newsletter HERE to keep up with the latest releases and specials in the store.
Challenges:
Dream Valley- Things with Wings
Robyn's Fetish-IDIC- Distressing
Delicious Doodles- 1 bow, 2 flourishes, 3 birds
C.R.A.F.T. -Birds/Feathers
Charisma- Anything Goes
Crop Stop- Blue
Card 2:
CAS-ual Fridays- use 2 circles Kraft W/Sentiment and Guava Nestability

Wags n Whiskers -Use Kraft
Paper Crafting Journey- Kraft

Mcmahon Five Designs New Release 6/1/12
I got a package in the mail from McMahon Five Designs today- and I had to make a card!
New at McMahon Five Designs are Memory Box Dies- I used the Butterfly Delights Die for the small butterflies on the Lt border of my card. I used the Fancy Blossom Die and the Tender Leaves Die using the Prima DSP for the flowers.
I used Prima Songbird DSP for the card and all of the die cuts. I added some Prima lace- love this lace- it is also on sale.... Next, I used Prima Songbird Say it in Pearls- I used just portions of the pearls as you can tell. I distressed to the edges of the DSP and added stitching and Kraft cardstock to bring out the browns in the DSP.
