Created for the Sketch challenge at SCS- a slimline card.

I had this little sweet bee in my 'Use It' pile from Vera Lang Studio. I thought it was great for this fun bee themed card. I stenciled thru a die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs using Scattered Straw Distress ink. Copics were used to color the image. There is Wink of Stella on the wings of this sweetie. Hope you'll pop over to Splitcoast and join us!

CYS June- Tiger or Wild Cat

June 2021 - Lola - Raevon CYSJUN
~~Make a project with a Tiger - or a wild cat of any sort: lion, puma, panther, cheetah--just not a domestic pet.

I used punch art to make my Lion.  The scalloped circle dies on the outer layer- new in package from ? a long while back!  I cut into each scallop and layered the back 2......  I used SU 1: and 1 3/4" circle punches for the face and cheeks, and the owl punch for the heart/nose.
The sentiment and hat are from Taylored expressions.  I colored using Copics and added Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
The entries will be on Splitcoast under (search) keyword CYSJUN.

Surfboard Inspiration

The Inspiration challenge at SCS pointed us to a Surfboard art site- and we were to be inspired to create from that art. I was inspired by THIS Surfboard : )

While I should be cleaning, I am distracted by the items from an earlier crafting session.....  I looked at SCS and had to put this card together quickly.  I just got this fun set from MFT and am having fun using it, as you can see from my last 2 posts : )

We have company coming tomorrow, so I had better finish my chores and get to bed!

Colorful weather

A card for the Free4All challenge at Splitcoaststampers with the theme of Colorful weather.

I used the cloud stencil from A Colorful Life and added Distress Oxide inks in blues, a purple and a pink. The images from MFT were stamped and fussy cut and colored using Copics. I added Wink of Stella to the fish.
A fun challenge- and nice to get into my stamp room this week!

Virtual Stamp night

This weekend is VSN at Splitcoaststampers.  I could not create until today, and just made a few cards....

First, we are to make shimmery wings:

I inked up a White glossy cardstock with Copic reinkers G24 and V12 plus AI blending solution.  I stamped the image with Tuxedo Memento Black and colored with Copics. Wink of Stella was added for shimmer.  I added an oval vellum layer. Sequins are a better match IRL.

This one was so fun. The background was made using coffee. I used the Embossing powder lid in Versamark and embossed using Queens Gold EP by Ranger around the coffee stained circles. I sponged Versamark on the edges of the card, and added the EP to it. The fairy image by Nellie Snellen was stamped in Versamark and embossed in black EP.
The die cut was cut in Mixed Media cardstock.  The base was colored using Zig markers. Winl of Stella was added over the top.  The flowers were die cut, colored using Copics and Versamark marker used to add Queens Gold EP in the centers.

Finally, a card with the theme of a Witch.....

A nice and sweet witch!  Colored using Copics, and Distress ink along the outer edge. I added watermarks and Wink of Stella in the background. I also added SU star sequins to the card. The image is by Finders Keepers.

Calm vs Storm

I am trying to catch up on all of the cards I wanted to get created this past week- and didn't!!!  First, is for last weeks Teapot recipient John, who is having health issues.  He lives close to water and loves sailing!

The DP from Paper Studio 'Spoke to me'...aka I thought it would be perfect as a backdrop for this image.  The image and the sentiment are by Impression Obsession, both are embossed using black EP.  I used Arteza art brushes and a white paint pen to add color. The corrugated border was swiped with gesso, and I also added Nuvo glimmmer paste over it.  I added Wink of Stella to the tips of the waves and the sun.
I grew up in a river town, the river was in our backyard, so we always had a boat.  So calm and peaceful out on the water!  I have only been on a sailboat once or twice though.....

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Birthday!

A fun card for the Sketch challenge at SCS for this week.

I pulled out a card kit from Terry Serman that still had a few images in it, and went to town.  Everything I used was in the kit except the twine and the Daffodil Delight DP. The images are from Taylored Expressions. All images colored using Copics, and a touch of Wink of Stella was used.

I like silly and sarcastic- and am having a blast with the images in this kit!

Wheelie Miss You

I tried something new for the Sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers.... it's called a Shutter Gate card.  It was much easier than I expected, and love the effect you get when opening it up!

Inside and belly band:

This is the reverse side of the DSP from the front.  I have had it for a few years...and it is by SU.  The image is MFT and is colored using Copic markers. I cut the image using the Scan n Cut, then fussy cut a bit more.

My youngest is a soil scientist, not really a gardener, sending this out to her : )

Ruff, Ruff, Ruff you!

A fun and shimmery card for the Tuesday Teapot challenge (last week).

Last week, we sent well wishes to Lee Ann in Colorado who is having health challenges.  She has lots of pups, so one of the challenges themes was dogs. Another theme was tie die- and while this is not tie die, it kinda came close- and is a shimmery spray, so nice and vibrant and shimmery!
The Dogs are TH stamp set and I stamped and fussy cut them.  (I have a Scan n Cut, but sometimes fussy cutting is therapeutic!!!).
Each pup is presenting a way to the owner to engage in play with them....one wants tennis balls thrown to him/her, one wants to walk, one wants a bone : ) The images were colored using Copic markers. All eyes on the owner- and how much love and joy they give us!!!

Alpha=D=Distressed

For round 15 of the Alpha challenge, D=Distress.  The Alpha challenge is over at Splitcoaststampers.com and is a great group of ladies!

I took out some very old paper packs (that are white core) and cut out a bunch of these flowers and leaves, and put them together. The flower die is TH. The 3D embossing folder behind the flowers is TH Sizzix. The layers behind that- more cardstock from the same paper stack.  I distressed the green cardstock, and it left the white core exposed, so I used Wasabi ink to color the edge of that.  All of this loaded onto a white card. I left it without a sentiment, I will add one as needed.

Beach Life

For the sketch challenge at Splitcoast, I went to the beach : )

The precolored image is from Jan's Digital images. I printed out a 2nd image on copy paper and made a mask for the image.  Then, I used stencils for the water (Sweet Stamps) and the sky (A Colorful Life).  The sand is Distress inks. For the Sketch challenge, I added the strip of embossed cardstock and it had Distress ink dragged over the embossed pattern.  The sun die cut was in a card kit- I love it!
