ATC's and ATC Coin card

I joined an ATC group at Unity, we exchange 2 ATC's with the group each month. It's a great way to use the stamps from my 'collection' : )

I stamped and embossed this image on water color paper. I used Turquoise and a poppy colored paint. See what I did with the 'left over ATC's below : )

I had fun with Distress inks and Distress Oxide inks as well. I just love this image- and her beautiful head of hair : )

The ATC's I mailed out : )

I took the left over ATC;s and die cut ATC coins for an About Oriental Stamp Art (Yahoo group) mingle to use ATC coins on a card. The background was too plain, so used Versamark to watermark the background. The Kanji is a retired SU set.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!  I have a brother in from out of town- it will be fun!

Tuesday Throwdown-Splatter it

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for Tuesday Throwdown for Team B, and we are using supplies to add splatter to our cards.

I started off with Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks- applied to non-stick mat and spritzed with water.  Next, I dragged the white cardstock through the wet ink.  I dried the cardstock/ink.  I repeated this again to get a tiny bit darker color in the background.  I added drips of water for splatter on the background.
I added more splatter- I took Black Soot Distress Ink and spritzed it with water, then added splatter onto the card with a paintbrush. I also added white 'faux' splatter with a white Signo paint pen.

The image used is Kiwi Koala from Sweet N Sassy Stamps- our Sponsor for this challenge. You can get the image pre-colored, but I love to color, so used Copics to color the image. I used older Spellbinder dies to cut out the image and the backing DP by Jillibean Soup.
The sentiment is stamped in black, and I used SU punches to punch it out.  Cardstock is SU.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of splatter on cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

Impossible!

The AOSA ( About Oriental Stamp Art ) has a 'quickie' challenge to make an impossible card. I do not think this style of card is so impossible- kind of addicting!!!

I used Washi paper over Wasabi Green cardstock (SU). The main image is Magenta. I stamped the image and lightly watercolored it, trying to mimic the colors of the flowers in the Washi paper. The sentiment and the bamboo are from a set I bought from Clear Dollar Stamps many years ago. I just love the way this card looks IRL.

Another view :  )

Have a fabulous day!

Dueling Darlings- let's Clink : )

It's that time of the month again- no pain or suffering- its Dueling Darlings time : )   Terry L (Dazzlers and my group) and Tami of the Diva's came up with a fun wine theme this month.

The image was colored with Copics. I used a Memory Box stitched rectangle die to cut it out. I colored the flowers with Copics as well. I added Washi tape as one of the strips, the other -I trimmed a chevron DP that was in the kit.

I followed along with the SCS sketch for this week- waited to create until it was posted : )

The kit Terry sent included:
Images and sentiments: Art Impressions "Wine Divas" and additional sentiments from MFT "Uncorked".
DP- Paper Studio
Embellishments-Clear-Recollections
Flowers-white brides from Michaels wedding section
and a few others that did not end up on my card- ribbon "Celebrate It", twine from stash, green gems Paper Studio, Green "Got Flowers"

Be sure to hop along and see what the other Dazzlers- my team, and the Diva's have made!

Tuesday Throwdown- Sketch

For the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week, we are creating using a sketch.

I created a card using the image Rosie with a Flower from our sponsor, Fred She Said.

The image is colored with Copic markers. I texturized the fur with a hand towel and Copic colorless blender. If you prefer, the image also comes pre-colored. I added dots to surrounding the pup with BG00 and BG02 Copic markers. The DP I used is Gina K and the Turquoise cardstock is SU.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of the Sketch cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

DTGD 2018

I dove into the DTGD challenges- just to try a few of them.  It is fun to do the challenges and see what you can come up with.....  I focused alot on Christmas cards too : )

This was such a quick card to put together!  10 minutes max!  That may be a record for me : )  The image is Unity.

This image is by PSX. It is gold embossed, then colored with Alcohol ink. .

I tried applying the Alcohol inks in a different way.

And, this fun cutie is an image from a kit I rec's doing Christmas Crazy at SCS. I used Ditress inks on the sky, and colored using chalks on the rest.

COF August

August 2018 ~ Hostess: Dawn
Scripture: Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
My Challenge: Since it is summer...use fireflies on your card....Or, if you have absolutely NO fireflies, choose a summer light source...mason jar with a light, tiki torch, flashlight.

I combined the COF challenge and also played along with a DTGD challenge too.  Wahoo.  This sweet stamp is from Embossing Arts and I love it!

The Crafters of Faith is a group on SCS. We have a challenge hostess from the group give us a challenge each month based on a scripture. It is an OPEN group, so if you would like to join us, drop Kelly a line!  Check out the other COF cards on Splitcoast HERE!

Challenges TBA

DTGD

It's been a bust weekend, but I was able to squeeze in 2 cards for the DTGD challenge .

I was able to use a Unity stamp that I have been wanting to ink up.  The background embossing folder is Tim Holtz and I added a dab of white chalk ink (from a pad) to lighten up the embossed area.

And, another Unity stamp that I just love.  I colored using Arteza waterbrush pen and Copic markers.  A bit of shimmer added with a Sakura Stardust gelly roll pen. I used the hole-less Unity sequins- so pretty and the camera made them darker than they are.
