VSN Mini

The VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) mini was this past weekend,  I was able to make cards for the challenges yesterday and today.

The first challenge was BLANK.  LOL  you know I am not so good at CAS......

I so love House Mouse images : )  I will enter this into the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge! The image is colored using Copic markers.
The Double D challenge asks for shades of pink : )

 The next challenge was Flowers.

I made a card using a tutoral at Splitcoaststampers for a Standing Pop Up Card. It was quick and easy and a great presentation.  The message goes on the back of this card.  I love the floral DP by Paper Studios, and the bird and flowers image from SU.
I am entering this card in the challenge at Cards 4 Guys- fun folds.

And, the third challenge, rainbow.  I decided to make my Technique swap card for an Eclipse card using this challenge.

Distress Oxide Blending was used for this background, and alpha dies for the L_CK.  The U is the horseshow from a set by Pretty Pink Posh.  I colored the leprechaun with Copics, the rest with Distress inks. The shamrocks are highlighted using Wink of Stella.
I am adding this card into the SSS Wednesday AG challenge

And, as I post, I ask for prayers for the Ukraine citizens!

Tea @ Teapot Tuesday

The Teapot Tuesday this week at Spliccoast is about Tea!  What would you eat with tea?

This image is by Embossing Arts, and the sentiments Paper Studio.  The inside sentiment says, "  I don't have a problem with caffeine, I have a problem without caffeine!"
I stamped the image and colored with Copics. I die cut it and added a strip of trim. On the inside, I added a punched boarder strip. A few sequins and I called it done.
I am not one to eat in the morning, frequently I do not eat until lunch (or after).  So, Strawberries for me with my tea : )  I like to mix my strawberries with blueberries: )

Alpha challenge M=Many

I have this sweet House Mouse image sitting on my desk waiting to be colored....and I needed a card for the Alpha M=many challenge- perfect!

Nothing like sharing : )  I love this sweet image.  Texture was added to the background using a 3D EF with hearts on it. The image was die cut, the outer cut was colored with a R81 Copic marker, and the inner image was colored in soft pastel colors using Copics.  Little dots of light blue were added for accent around the image.

Valentines Day is right around the corner : )

Try Something New

I was going to clean today....however, I saw the Free 4 All challenge at SCS to try something new, then rec'd a message from an Alpha sis to Zoom and create.....so...create I did!

I had purchased a kit in the Netherlands a few years ago- the style of creating that is very popular there is called decoupage. There are 4 layers of this image, Each layer after the first is added using dimensionals.  I made 2/3- the 3rd looks like an opossum....  I like the cards when they were finished, and one will go to this past week's Teapot recipient. One of the things she likes is watching and feeding the squirrels. No stamping other than the Hero Arts Sentiments.

Technique Fun

I created using the Technique challenge at SCS today, and made a card using paper weaving.

The colors are from the color challenge at Splitcoast, and I used colors as close to the challenge colors as I had. The colors I used are :  Peeled Paint, Wild Wasabi, Wild Honey, Concord Crush, Going Gray.
I colored on the stamp with markers and added a spritz of water and then stamped it on the woven paper. I sponged gray ink on the edges of the woven strips before assembling.  I used gray ink to stamp the background images and the added Wild Honey Distress ink.
This is the SU set Ranunculus Romance.
