My ATC group challenge this month was Weaving. We make one ATC for a special trade (1-4-1), so I'll start with that:
I used a digi from A Day for Daisies- paper pieced using a Basic Grey DSP, colored the remainder of the image with Copics. I used digi paper for the background from Create with TLC. I added highlights with a Stardust Gelly pen. The weaving is in the upper Lt corner- with Metallic thread and there is a moon charm.
Challenge- Cheerful Stamp Pad Things with Wings and CDAC 'other' challenge
Mary used a thin ribbon wrapped around her ATC base, and wove yarn on her ATC.
The challenges are wonderful to 'stretch' things you will try- here are the ATC's I created:
I found this free digi from Odds and Soxlets and almost let out a squeal- my friend Diane in the ATC group LOVES the sock Monkey- so I had to create with it. I colored the image with Copics.
I made some backgrounds for a Technique Junkies technique- then I ran across instructions for a woven fish- so I had to make some:
I could not create without using pink.......
I wove ribbon in various pinks and added butterflies punched out of polished stone. I took the Polished Stone background and put woven book print behind it, added gold bodies and feelers and added pink glitter to the edges.
Next- the ATC's I traded for:
Rainbow by Carol and spider by Mari
Debbie M (woven friendship) and Michelle (woven thoughts)
Trena made a great background and added woven yarns and Diane s wove in purples.
Sandy did two weaving techniques and Harriet interwove in the Spirit of Art
Diane M used papers reminiscent of a recent trip to China, Cindy from the heart and Mary W in fiber and metallic papers.
I always enjoy looking back at the ideas of others and the play on color.
I hope you enjoyed my collection of ATC's!
Shelly
