Tuesday Throwdown- Interactive Card

The Tuesday Throwdown team is creating Interactive cards this week, and Lawn Fawn is our sponsor.

The squirrel on the right is the interactive element, and goes around in a circle around the swing : )  The set I used is called Let's Play, and I also used the dies to match the images.  The circle dies are Memory Box.
Distress Inks Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and Broken China were used to add color to the card. The images were colored with Copic markers.

I watched a Lawn Fawn Video for directions. Here is the link :

Tuesday Throwdown-Falling Hearts

The Tuesday Throwdown challenge for this week is "Falling Hearts".  Our Sponsor is My Grafico who provided the Cat Valentine images to us.

The Cat Valentine image from My Grafico was colored with Copics, then I fussy cut it.
A prior sponsor was Sunny Studios, and I used the background and sentiment from stamps they provided us.  The hearts background was inked up with 3 pink SU markers, then spritzed with a water bottle. I did have to stamp the falling hearts image twice for the width. After that dried, I lightly daubered on Pixie Pink SU ink.
Dimensionals were used to pop up the image from the background. I intentionally left a little spot in the center white to highlight the cat's head. Fun, quick and CAS for me!

You have 2 weeks to join is in the Falling Hearts challenge HERE.

The Tuesday Throwdown challenge for the next two weeks is Embossing.  Our sponsor is DRS. We were able to choose our images, and I chose the Serenity Prayer image.

I embossed the background of this Lavender Lace cardstock and highlighted it with Lavender Lace ink. The image was die cut and placed over the embossing. The sequins are purple and are by Unity Stamps.  The twine was added as a finishing touch.

Tuesday Throwdown Crazy Circles

Whoops- dealing with some back issues and did not publish my Tuesday Throwdown post....  We are creating with the theme of Crazy Circles this week, and our sponsor is Newtons Nook!  It is my first time creating with their stamps, and I had so much fun!

Yep, I had so much fun, I made two cards!

I used the stamp set Whispering Pines  I used Daniel Smith watercolors to create the background, then added circles with an ancient circle set by SU in Not Quite Navy ink.  I also added snowflakes with white in from Gina K Designs. I just love the pup and the cat images in the set.
There is shimmer on the bottom of the card to mimic snow.  Doesn't this look like a beautiful peaceful setting!  Or a place where the guys would go to hunt in the winter?

Two-fer AG+New Release

Today is a new release at Bugaboo- and it is a sweet one!!!  And, it is also Anything Goes at Tuesday Throwdown, so a twofer for me!!!

This sweet group of playful pups- I colored the image with Copics. I added an embossed background with puppy paws all over it. I die cut the image and added a bit of twine and the sentiment. I punched out a scalloped oval die and sponged Soft Sky onto the top  for the fluffy sky.

I have an Aunt that passed away a few years ago, and I had a few experiences where I would think of her and butterflies would flutter around or near me.  So, when I saw this sweet image, I thought of her....and, unfortunately a neighbor as well.  A neighbor lost her young son a few weeks ago,  When we first met, we would be out walking our dogs in the neighborhood.  We knew each other by the names of our dogs for the longest time!  (I was Peanut's Mom).   Anyway the pups and the butterfly are why I used this sentiment, which is by Create with TLC, and I will give this to the neighbor in memory of her son.

Stop on by Tuesday Throwdown to see what the other DT members have created -link HERE.
The Catch the Bug DT post is HERE .

2 Crafty Critter Crazies- AG with a critter

Tuesday Throwdown-Complimentary Colors

This week at Tuesday Throwdown, we are creating using complimentary colors.

Bugaboo is our Sponsor, and provided images.  This image is called flower-butterfly-vase. I love to color, so I picked Purples and Yellows and 'hit the town'.

I used SU cardstock in Lovely Lavender and So Saffron.  The image is cut out using a Memory Box stitched die. After the first pass-thru, I moved the die over and made it 'narrower' vertically. The edging  is a Martha Stewart punch.
The image is colored using Copic markers.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of the Sketch cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

Tuesday Throwdown- One Layer

Thuesday Throwdown challenge for this week is One Layer. Well, there's a hard challenge- just one...one layer.....   Oh what fun!  I am a day late, but had to post my card......  I used a digital image Paw Prints from our Sponsor Sparkle and Sprinkle.

I placed a stencil over the cardstock. I added inks-Distress Ink- Barn Door, SU Groovy Guava, Distress Inks Bundled Sage and Broken China.
The image is colored using Arteza real brushpens.
I added a strip of double sided sticky tape, and burnished Sparkle and Sprinkle Surf glitter over it for a finishing touch.  I love their glitters and have quite a few of them!

And, here is the sentiment from the digi set that I added to the inside:

This is my 'Grand-dog' Sir Theo.  I could picture him when I saw this digi, so had to create using it!!!

Tuesday Throwdown-Splatter it

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for Tuesday Throwdown for Team B, and we are using supplies to add splatter to our cards.

I started off with Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks- applied to non-stick mat and spritzed with water.  Next, I dragged the white cardstock through the wet ink.  I dried the cardstock/ink.  I repeated this again to get a tiny bit darker color in the background.  I added drips of water for splatter on the background.
I added more splatter- I took Black Soot Distress Ink and spritzed it with water, then added splatter onto the card with a paintbrush. I also added white 'faux' splatter with a white Signo paint pen.

The image used is Kiwi Koala from Sweet N Sassy Stamps- our Sponsor for this challenge. You can get the image pre-colored, but I love to color, so used Copics to color the image. I used older Spellbinder dies to cut out the image and the backing DP by Jillibean Soup.
The sentiment is stamped in black, and I used SU punches to punch it out.  Cardstock is SU.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of splatter on cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

Tuesday Throwdown- Sketch

For the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week, we are creating using a sketch.

I created a card using the image Rosie with a Flower from our sponsor, Fred She Said.

The image is colored with Copic markers. I texturized the fur with a hand towel and Copic colorless blender. If you prefer, the image also comes pre-colored. I added dots to surrounding the pup with BG00 and BG02 Copic markers. The DP I used is Gina K and the Turquoise cardstock is SU.

Tuesday Throwdown Stitching- Faux or Real

Its time for another Tuesday Throwdown Challenge- Stitching, Faux or Real.  Our Sponsor is KittyBee Designs.

I used a die by Gina Marie for my stitching. There are 2 layers of the die edge- bottom one is white and top one is black. I added a touch of a light colored pencil to the stitching to make it a bit more visible.  The cute Trike Panda image has just a touch of color added, and a bit of shimmer to the silver bell.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Hanko Designs.

Tuesday Throwdown- You're on My Mind

Sasayaki Glitter is our sponsor for Tuesday Throwdown this week. Image #112 in the Etsy store is what I used on my card : )

.
I used Copics to color the image and cut her out using a die- the image had a couple of spots that were out of the die, so I cut them so they are 'Out of the Box'. ( I learned to call it that in the Technique Junkies group). I used Groovy Guava SU (retired) cardstock with DP from Lizzy. The sentiment is from SU and punched out with the tag punch.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of shaped cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

Cutting Cafe is our Sponsor this week over at Tuesday Throwdown, and we are using 'Creative Corners' on our cards.

This group of images is called "For the Love of Lemons". I printed it out twice, and fussy cut out the lemons. I popped up a second layer for dimension. The image was colored with Artesa brush pens. I used a really ancient (lol) corner punch on the edges and on the upper Rt corner, used a stylus and rolled the corner. The DP is Basic Grey, the cardstock is SU Daffodil.

We'd love to have you join us with a fun creative idea for your corners on your project!  Don't forget to check out the other DT members blogs as well : )
