Falladay Day 1

It's Falladay at Splitcoaststampers!  We have 2 weeks of challenges and throwback tutorials- a bit more laid back that Dare to Get Dirty!

Three challenges for Day 1, which was this past Monday:

The first challenge is to use a piece of plaid flannel on our cards.

The candle/greenery die cut is a RAK.  The Sentiment die cut is by Memory Box.

Next, we are to make a card using a 'real' postage stamp.  Bonus if you make it Mixed Media : )

I used Gina K ink and a SSS stencil for the background. I added Nuvo Glitter paste over areas of the background.  The Snowflake in blue metallic card is also SSS.  Santa and the sentiment are Inkadinkado.  Colored pencils were used to color Santa, then a touch of Copics too.  I added glue then glitter to the beard. And, that is a real postage stamp- I love it for the Santa themed card.

Finally, the 3rd and final challenge was to make a 'peeking' snowman card.

The Whimsey Stamps image was cut apart, and angled past the cardstock wall. The background was made with swiping Gina K blue spots across the back and blending them together.  Snowflakes were stamped in white from the Inkadinkado set I used for card #2 above. I used colored pencils for coloring the snowmen.

If your up for a challenge, come join us at the Falliday Fest at Splitcoaststampers!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The month of October is known as Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I wanted to participate in an Instagram Blog Hop to support women that have gone through this battle and also for those in the process of this battle!

IF you are on Instagram, this hop begins with @bkeeleycrafts

I made two cards- use your stuff, right!

This image is by Unity, the EF came with my Gemini.... and the sentiment is from a set by Concord & 9th.  Done using PINK Distress Inks and glitter paper.

This card uses a die from Die-Versions.  I cut it out multiple times.  I cut one apart and used it as a stencil using the words to brush on inks for the background.  The white die is cut 3 times and layered, and the center ribbon embossed. The color is a bit wonky here.... I tried to adjust it, but I am just not that great with technology : )

Challenges: TBA
