It's Falladay at Splitcoaststampers! We have 2 weeks of challenges and throwback tutorials- a bit more laid back that Dare to Get Dirty!
Three challenges for Day 1, which was this past Monday:
The first challenge is to use a piece of plaid flannel on our cards.
The candle/greenery die cut is a RAK. The Sentiment die cut is by Memory Box.
Next, we are to make a card using a 'real' postage stamp. Bonus if you make it Mixed Media : )
I used Gina K ink and a SSS stencil for the background. I added Nuvo Glitter paste over areas of the background. The Snowflake in blue metallic card is also SSS. Santa and the sentiment are Inkadinkado. Colored pencils were used to color Santa, then a touch of Copics too. I added glue then glitter to the beard. And, that is a real postage stamp- I love it for the Santa themed card.
Finally, the 3rd and final challenge was to make a 'peeking' snowman card.
The Whimsey Stamps image was cut apart, and angled past the cardstock wall. The background was made with swiping Gina K blue spots across the back and blending them together. Snowflakes were stamped in white from the Inkadinkado set I used for card #2 above. I used colored pencils for coloring the snowmen.
If your up for a challenge, come join us at the Falliday Fest at Splitcoaststampers!

What a wonderful trio of cards Shelly - love the first one and how you have used the plaid behind that stunning die cut. Your Santa certainly has some fabulous texture in his beard, and I love your peeping snowmen.
Blessings
