Grad 2021

I made a few Grad cards for 2021 graduating seniors for my daughters students : )

I used a number of dies for this card- the letters and numbers are cut from Blue glitter paper. I just found a sidekick and the numbers came with it : )  The student die (I think is from Spellbinders...).. is cut using a Gina K blue cardstock, and I layered it on a white card, the same as the base (Recollections 110#). I used white shimmer cardstock for the embossed grad hat layer, and layered it on silver mirror cardstock. The star is a TH silver glitter paper.

Bloggers Challenge- Anniversary

My daughter graduated again this year from Ohio State University with her Master's Degree in Education!  (Last year, she graduated with her BA).  So, on this Anniversary- taking creative liberties here- I made a card using Technique Junkies techniques called Depth of Field and layer up.
The Red (Crimson), Gray and Black are The Ohio State University school colors. Images are Grad hat is Stampin Up (retired) and sentiment Close to My Heart.

It was very hot- a blazing 90 degree day and a 3 hour ceremony- the grads were sitting in the hot sun.....

Here we are prior to the ceremony. I had to take a fun pic of Katie's from the side:

At The Ohio State University, the ENTIRE class graduates together- all Bachelor's candidates, all Masters, Doctors, PhD's....etc  There were over 10,000 grads in the ceremony- here they are filling up the end zone. It is amazing to see this process of the grads coming in- the PhD's get their names called individually, the rest are awarded their diploma's in the 'exit march'.

I love the flag raising ceremony:
And finally, in the sea of graduates, here is Katie receiving her diploma:

Wahoo!!!  What an accomplishment!  We sure are proud parents!!!

More Graduation Cards

My youngest is going to lots of grad parties this summer...Here is the style of card(s) I made for this past weekend.

The sentiment and patterned paper is from Create with TLC.  I colored the sentiment with Copics and highlighted with Stardust Gelly Roll pen.

Here are a couple of cards made by friends- hand stamped of course that Stephi rec'd.

This was made by Diane- Stephi loved it. You gotta love that Bella Grad image!

This one is by my friend Nancy- how cool is this?  The numbers are silver embossed- I will for sure be using this idea in the future!

I  hope you are having a nice week and having great weather!
