IG Hop- Rediscover Your Supplies

I joined in HOP on Instagram to rediscover your supplies- and that is not so hard to do!!!  I made 2 cards for the hop:

This Power Poppy digi was printed and colored 5 years ago!  I added it to a SSS background that was embossed using Queens Gold EP....  my absolute favorite EP that is no longer available!  I added distress ink to the background. I am going to send this to a friend that needs Hugs and Love right now!

The 2nd card using a sweet set from Avery Elle

Another encouragement card for a friend that needs a HUG right about now!  The BG uses Distress inks and a stencil from A Colorful Life. The images are stamped and fussy cut, colored using Copic markers. There is a touch of shimmer on the butterfly.

Here is my Instagram link if you'd like to pop over for the IG HOP!

More DTGD

Stamping away this week for the DTGD challenges.  I wanted to post a few more here : )

I have never tried this technique before- very interesting : )  The butterfly is Memory Box. The background is Distress inks.

Another sample using this technique again.....  fun look. DSP is SU and sentiment Hero Arts.

I love pink : )  For this challenge, I used a die from Pink Fresh Studio.  I colored the pearls with a Copic to make them pink.

More Distress Ink blending on this background.  I used stamps from alot of companies on this card.  Hero Arts, Sparkle and Sprinkle, Avery Elle, Dena Reaveley.

The DTGD challenges are for fan club members.  If you aren't a member, you can join and have until the 20th to upload cards.  Consider joining in- lots of great prizes, even if you can only do a few challenges!

Swell Birthday

The Alphabet challenge at SCS is on "W", and I made a card using White EP, which is also the Ways to Use It challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

The background is made using Mica ink reinkers- so it is so very shimmery!  The silver (shark and sentiment) is also a Mica reinker on black bardstock.  I embossed the shark and fussy cut it out. The crown is stamped and cut out of an Alcohol Ink background scrap. This was such a fun challenge!

Challenges
Craft Rocket- something new- New stamps : )
Mix it Up- AG plus paper piecing- shark : )

Dare to Get Dirty

Enjoying my new retirement by Stamping, and more Stamping!!!  I am not sure I will be able to keep up though- this is alot of stamping!!!

A one layer card- masker off the edges with Post-it notes. Images by Sweet Stamps

This background ws made by dribbling reinkers onto watercolor paper, then sprinkling on water droplets. I let the green dry before I did the red so it would not get muddy. The Hummingbird die is Gina Marie, the sentiment North Coast Creations

Oh, back in the day SU made this fun stamp. I made this emboss resist card with Turquoise and Not Quite Navy SU inks.  The sentiment- Create with TLC.

I sprayed Dylusions over a cross chipboard from Sweet Stamps. I then removed the center piece and sprayed on a little bit different yellow. Overstamped the back with a sentiment, added the main sentiment, a little ribbon and some sequins. This set is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.

I just bought this older PSX stamp, how I love tulips!  I had some watercolor fun!  The text stamp is an older SU stamp.

Whew- you can see after a day of stamping, I need a drink...LOL  I love this funny lemon by Avery Elle. The background was made on a Gelly Plate. The drink and lemon are Lawn Fawn.

Tuesday Throwdown-Embossing (wet, dry or paste)

The challenge at Tuesday Throwdown this week is Embossing (wet, dry or paste).  Our Sponsor for the challenge is Avery Elle.

Chinese New Year this year begins Feb 19th, and it is the year of the Sheep.  My daughter lives in China, so when I saw the Bunting Die and coordinating Bunting stamp set, I had to have them to make a card!

The Washi was purchased in Shenzhen, China. I layered the die cut black and hung lanterns stamped with Versamark and embossed with Enamel Embossing Powders- I used 24 K Gold, Aged White and Cranberry Wine (Girls Night Out).  There is shimmer and glimmer in the powders, and in the Washi...... This card was terrible to photograph because of all of the shimmer!

Here is one from my phone- still not the greatest picture...... the shimmer is not overwhelming IRL.

Stop by the challenge HERE to see the fabulous inspiration by the rest of the team!

I thought I'd throw in a couple of pictures of real Chinese lanterns- the first picture is from 'Lantern Street' in Beijing, and the 2nd picture is from 'Food Street' Wangfujing Street in Shanghai China (where you go to see scorpions.starfish/centipedes on a stick- totally touristy- and everyone tried something on a stick except for me).  Most regular streets are not lined with lanterns like these streets.

 Challenges:
Card Mania- Make it Sparkle(#3)
Crafty Cardmakers- Something old (Washi - 3 yrs old) and something new- Stamps and die
Sparkle and Sprinkle- Enamel EP
Crazy Challenge- Embossing
