Ruff, Ruff, Ruff you!

A fun and shimmery card for the Tuesday Teapot challenge (last week).

Last week, we sent well wishes to Lee Ann in Colorado who is having health challenges.  She has lots of pups, so one of the challenges themes was dogs. Another theme was tie die- and while this is not tie die, it kinda came close- and is a shimmery spray, so nice and vibrant and shimmery!
The Dogs are TH stamp set and I stamped and fussy cut them.  (I have a Scan n Cut, but sometimes fussy cutting is therapeutic!!!).
Each pup is presenting a way to the owner to engage in play with them....one wants tennis balls thrown to him/her, one wants to walk, one wants a bone : ) The images were colored using Copic markers. All eyes on the owner- and how much love and joy they give us!!!

Alpha=D=Distressed

For round 15 of the Alpha challenge, D=Distress.  The Alpha challenge is over at Splitcoaststampers.com and is a great group of ladies!

I took out some very old paper packs (that are white core) and cut out a bunch of these flowers and leaves, and put them together. The flower die is TH. The 3D embossing folder behind the flowers is TH Sizzix. The layers behind that- more cardstock from the same paper stack.  I distressed the green cardstock, and it left the white core exposed, so I used Wasabi ink to color the edge of that.  All of this loaded onto a white card. I left it without a sentiment, I will add one as needed.

Valentine ATC's

Remember the 'old days' when we would pass out Valentines to everyone in our class??? I made some ATC sized Valentines- and was able to join in 2 challenges at Splitcoast with them.  It is so great when I can 'use my stuff'!!!

Distress ink was added to the background, and stenciling done, then texture paste added over the top.  There is WInk of Stella on the 3 hearts.  Image by Unity.

I am not sure if I have ever used this, but the pup has a tongue that is kind of in hte shape of a heart, in my opinion : )   I have the perfect person to send this to!  Image by Ranger/Tim Holtz.  The set comes with dies as well.

The colors on this one were pretty busy, and I found the perfect stamps to use with it!  These images are retired SU.  I made the sentiment. There is shimmer on the bees wings.

They will all be heading to someine via mail by Monday : )

Do you send Valentines to anyone???

Thanks for stopping by!

ATC-Alcohol Inks

For March, our ATC group had the theme Alcohol Inks

We start out with a 1-4-1 exchange we call a drop card.  Here is mine:

I ran a piece of acetate through the big shot and embossed it.  Then ,  I dropped Yellow and purple AI's on a it.  I added an Elizabeth Designs sticker on top.
I am going to enter this into the As You Like It challenge- what do you make besides cards?  I love to make ATC's- so fun to trade these little pieces of art- and fun to look through my binders for a jump start to my creativity!

The ATC I rec'd back for the 1-4- swap was done by Mary W

Mary also added AI's on acetate, then added metal tape around the edges.  There is a tag attached which has Mary's signature on it.

Here are my ATC's:
I stamped a floral image by Technique Junkies over the red dots- love the way these turned out!

and

( The one on the Right is still available for trade)

and
Technique Junkies floral over a plaid AI background on the Lt.
The Rt has a touch of Silver Metallic mixative, and then added the silver embossed spaceship from Stampendous.
and

The one on the Lt is available for trade.  I stamped a TH image, added a butterfly rub on and added German scrap.  The one on the Rt has a scrapbooking sticker on it- from Frantic Stamper.

one more!

On the Lt- the images are from Technique Junkies- this is available for trade.
On the Rt is an older SU image,

And, here are the ATC's I got in return:

Lt side- Diane S
Rt side- Harriet

I love this- Linda doodled over the AI's- she blew on the inks after they were dropped onto the cardstock.

Lt side in Linda O
Rt side- LuEllen

Mary added more acetate with AI's and put metallic tape on the edges- this one is backed so you cannot see through it like the drop card above.
Diane added the inks on by dripping- isn;t that a great effect?

Lt- Mary W
Rt - Diane M

Lt- Dee Dee added the AI on Vellum
Rt- Marcie ut foil over an ATC then embossed it.  Next, she colored in the flowers.

Lt side- Dee Dee
Rt- Marcie

Song in my Heart

Winter is a coming!  We still have our bird feeders up and we are seeing lots of snowbirds and squirrels.
Ohhh I love trying new techniques- and Technique Junkies has one on CD 11- a sneak peak for you- called Textured Shimmer Paper- which I made and used for the bird and the bird house.
I used a Tim Holtz Die, TH DP and Distress inks. The leaf dies are a SweetCuts die-elegant leaves- from Sweet Stamps, and the sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy.

OK- Hello Winter!  I'll be working on Winter and Christmas cards in the weeks to come......!

Challenges:
365 Cards Day 329- use at least 3 different die cuts
Crafters Cafe- Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp- Anything Goes
Sisterhood of Crafters- Something Handmade- the Textured Shimmer Paper : )
Songbird Challenge- Use one or more dies

Pan Pastels.......

 Playing with Pan Pastels:
I had the good fortune last week of meeting Hetty Sanders- she is here for the Club Scrap event and was staying with a friend that lives fairly close to me.  We had an afternoon of stamping fun.....
Above photo is Laura, Hetty and I

and
This is Lynette, Hetty and I.

We played with Pan Pastels and stamped with some Tim Holtz stamps Hetty purchased. Laura and Loretta also shared their altered books with me- and Laura supplied me with a book to alter- so that will be my next adventure.......

Here is what we worked on......

Loretta and Hetty made book pages, we also worked with Gesso and stencils that Loretta shared, and we made card fronts with Pan Pastels.....plain and embossed with CB folders.

I am in Cinci with my Mom and Dad this week.  Mom had surgery last Monday and is still in the hospital...I am heading home tomorrow...  I am not sure when my Mom will be discharged from the Hospital- I am hoping in the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by!
