Honor Flight salute

Over at Splitcoaststampers, the Teapot Tuesday challenge is for a gentleman who fought in Vietnam and is currently disabled.  He is an Army Vet.  He is being surprised in May with an honor flight.

I made a slimline card for the gentleman. The card is Navy and I used a wrapping paper in gold with glittery stripes for the accent between the layers.  The 3D EF of stars in highlighted with gold metallic rub ons. The eagle image is Coronado stamps, the sentiment is SU. The gold stars are from the $1 Store, now $1.25...!  The gold cord and ribbon from my stash.

Challenges: TBA

Thanks for stopping by!

Such a wonderful card Shelly - masculine and patriotic, and subtly acknowledging the recipients past. Well done

Wow, what a stunning slimline design Shelly! I love those gold stars and the patriotic theme for this honored military gentleman! Very nicely done and I'm sure he'll really appreciate the love!

Shelly, your card is perfect for the Vietnam veteran who is about to go on his Honor Flight to Washington DC. Such a well-deserved experience. I wish him well!
