Stencil Shading

I am taking a card class- Spring Card Class 2, and Lydia showed us how to do stencil shading.

This stencil is from TCW and I used SU inks, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Blush and Rose Red. The sentiment is Hero Arts and was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink.
Cardstocks are retired SU Rose Red and Close to Cocoa.
I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the base of some of the flowers, loving the subtle sparkle.

Challenges: TBA

Thanks for stopping by!

What a gorgeous card Shelly - loving the shading on the roses, and the WoS must be fabulous IRL. That wee bow is perfect

That is absolutely exquisite, Shelly! I have tended to not use stenciling for the very reason that they don't lend themselves to shading and highlighting but now you've proven that pet theory of mine to be incorrect. lol I'll have to rethink the few stencils I have.

Very pretty Shelly! You did a wonderful job with this lesson. Love your color choices. I haven't tried this one yet. Hope all is well!

My grandmother used to do with with paint on quilts. Sure wish someone had saved those stencils from the 50s. These blossoms are gorgeous, Shelly!!
