Nativity cards

Today, there is a VSN Mini challenge at SCS. I only finished one card, but loved the technique....

The background is Toilet paper- yes, really!  You layer it and put it through an embossing folder.  It is so pretty and smooth looking IRL.  I added color by sponging it on- SU yellow (Summer Sun)  and Blue (Baja Breeze). The image is Unity Stamps.

This nativity die was cut out of Watercolor paper and watercolored using Zig waterbrushes. I added WInk of STella over the top.  The background embissed card is shimmer cardstock. The sentiment is Concord and 9th. I added a Navy backing to the nativity scene to help it pop a touch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Such a fabulous job with the toilet paper technique. Love the embossing folder and how pretty you inked the background for that cute stamp.

Gorgeous! I didn't even make it to VSN, but now I'm going to have to check it out for sure.

Beautiful cards Shelly - I love the toilet paper technique, but had never thought to use of for a full background! I'm a bit slow at times :). The nativity is wonderful against the embossed background card.
Stay safe
