Take Flight

For the Alpha challenge, we are on the letter Y=Yesterday.  At first, I thought Vintage, but then I saw this image on my desk and decided to color it up for memories of Yesterdays where we did fun activities with our kids.

I am in another group where we have an image swap each month- one person sends us the image to create with.  This sweet House Mouse (called Gone with the Wind) is from CJ.  I colored the image using Copics, added Purple and Green DP to coordinate with the kite.  I like bolder colors and really love this sweet image!

What is a fun memory of an activity you did with your kids???

Masterpiece

I enjoyed coloring this sweet image rec'd from Tracie C for the image swap at Splitcoast.  We all receive an image monthly and send our card to an assigned partner.

How fun is this sweet image!  I colored it using Copic markers. I stenciled the background using Recollections stencils and Distress inks. Purple was my Mother's favorite color, so I made the flowers purple.  The is one of those swaps where I think- I must have this image from Colorado Craft Company- I just love this!  I die cut the panel and added background foam dimensional and mounted it on Wasabi cardstock.

Happy Birthday

I played around a bit with die cuts today and put together a Birthday Card

Distress Oxide ink was used on the background, then I misted it, water stamped the musical noted then restamped them using the DOX ink. Splatter using Iridescent medium was added then the die cut was added. Shimmery enamel dots finish off the card.

Technique fun and Sweet Birthday!

While away at a stampin' retreat, one of the ladies let me use her stitching dies.

I loved stitching on the die, and had to buy one from the Spellbinders stitching dies set- on sale at Hobby Lobby 40% off this week : )  LOL
I also had an Alpha challenge for a 'X' on a card. I used the Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC) challenge at Splitcoaststampers and I used pigment ink on the yarn/jute and embossed it with silver EP. I love that the die is center stage.  I will use this as a Christmas card- looks like a snowflake to me!

A couple challenge cards for today

The Alpha challenge at Splitcoaststampers is Victorian which I take as Vintage.... : )  I used some Tim Holtz ephemera, Paper Studio card and die cut flowers. I love the look of collage and do not think I am too good at it....  but am happy with how this turned out.

The Ways to Use it challenge asked for stars.  I had this background made from a stencil and cut out a large srat, backed it with the glitter paper and raised it on a dimensional. The nativity is foiled and a RAK from a Swap at Splitcoast. The Peace die vut by Memory box was cut out 4 times, 3 in white and one in the blue glitter cardstock.

Sewing and Lillies

I joined in a couple of challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week.

This is for the color challenge at Splitcoast this week- Pacific Point, Pear and Gorgeous Grape.  This fun House Mouse image was sent to me by my friend Rebekah. I colored it using Copics and used the colors for the challenge Pear and Pacific Point cardstock. The stitching image is from Clear Dollar Stamps.

I would like to enter this card in the House Mouse Monday challenge- stitching and AG

The Sketch challenge at Splitcoast was a bit different this week, and I decided to finally used these lillies I have had on my desk for over a month!  I colored the images using Copics. The die cut is Gina Marie. Sequins finish the sketch and the touch!

Jan's Digital Stamps Mid-month

Its time for Jan's Digital Stamps mid-month post- hop on over to the Challenge Blog and join us for the monthly Anything Goes challenge.

The image I used is called Wedding Magnolias.  I used Jan's Pre-colored images and cut them out using the Scan and Cut. The shimmery cardstock was embossed using a 3D embossing folder. The edge was lightly highlighted using a R00 Copic marker. The sentiment is also highlighted on the edge using the R00 Copic marker and it is popped up using cardstock for dimensionals.

Come join us in the challenge for April at Jan's.  The theme is always Anything Goes.

Just for You

Jan's  Digital Stamps has some beautiful florals in her collection, and I used this sweet one with some Springy DP's.  (And, its snowing outside here today)!

I colored the image using Copics.  I had some new DP and decided to add a Springy flair to this card, although it is a bit busy : )  I still like it.  Jan's images come pre-colored, so often, I like to use them that way- Jan colors so masterfully : )  I can use her coloring for reference for the shading, that is what I really love!

Anyway, hop on over to Jan's Digital Stamp store and see the new releases.  The Challenge Blog is always AG- come join us for the April challenge!!!
