Tuesday Throwdown-Complimentary Colors

This week at Tuesday Throwdown, we are creating using complimentary colors.

Bugaboo is our Sponsor, and provided images.  This image is called flower-butterfly-vase. I love to color, so I picked Purples and Yellows and 'hit the town'.

I used SU cardstock in Lovely Lavender and So Saffron.  The image is cut out using a Memory Box stitched die. After the first pass-thru, I moved the die over and made it 'narrower' vertically. The edging  is a Martha Stewart punch.
The image is colored using Copic markers.

We'd love to have you join us for the challenge!  And, you may like to check out the other DT samples of the Sketch cards as well. You can find the challenge and DT cards Here!

Moongate challenge mingle

I joined in a Moongate mingle over at About Oriental Stamp Art (AOSA) Yahoo Group.

I had just a couple of moongate images, but I picked this one. I stamped in Versamark and embossed it in black EP.
I also embossed in black the border stamp on white and red, the cut it down the middle. It is an interesting look that I have not tried doing before, the black and white image stamped and embossed and pieced like that.

Time is flying and I am running like a maniac to catch my tail!  I have not been abl
e to get to blogs to comment, I will get around this week- all is finally calming down!

Tuesday Throwdown- One Layer

Thuesday Throwdown challenge for this week is One Layer. Well, there's a hard challenge- just one...one layer.....   Oh what fun!  I am a day late, but had to post my card......  I used a digital image Paw Prints from our Sponsor Sparkle and Sprinkle.

I placed a stencil over the cardstock. I added inks-Distress Ink- Barn Door, SU Groovy Guava, Distress Inks Bundled Sage and Broken China.
The image is colored using Arteza real brushpens.
I added a strip of double sided sticky tape, and burnished Sparkle and Sprinkle Surf glitter over it for a finishing touch.  I love their glitters and have quite a few of them!

And, here is the sentiment from the digi set that I added to the inside:

This is my 'Grand-dog' Sir Theo.  I could picture him when I saw this digi, so had to create using it!!!

COF- Strength of Heart

September 2018 ~ Hostess: Susan P
scripture: PSALM 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
challenge: Make a card or other item that illustrates that God is the strength of your heart.

I look to nature and am always amazed at the wonders of God!  The flowers, the trees, the animals and butterflies. We have been bringing in Monarch caterpillars from the garden, and watching them grow and turn into butterflies.  It is amazing to see this green/black/yellow and white caterpillar turn into this majestic butterfly!
From a small butterfly to the hear of a man, God is there in everything, if we are open to it and allow it to touch our hearts.

The image from Bugaboo is colored with Copics, and trimmed with a Memory Box stitched die. The DP is Jellybean....from the stash, not sure how old but I have had it a while. The sentiment is Create with TLC.

Napkin ATC's

My meet up ATC group challenged us to make napkin ATC's.  One of my favorites, I have a drawer full of napkins to use on ATC 's and cards : )

I used Xyron for adhesive, laid a quarter of the napkin on the first, and the second as well- the 2nd was used to fussy cut the flowers, which were added on the top for dimension.

I love these 2 ATC's. The Lt looks like real stitching, the Rt- a Farmers Market theme.

  Birds and a nest w/eggs.

I love birds, another napkin with birds and flowers.

Oh, I love flowers so much- more layered images!

Hocus Pocus is a Fall TH stamp.

This is a napkin cut into small squares- The side with the spider, the side with the flourish, the raven all separate squares. I added Washi and a small piece of cording with knots tied into it.

Here are the ATC's I received:

I love to see the variety of fun ATC's others create!
