A little fun using- yes-cutting into some coveted DP. It is hard to find Oriental DP, and this has to be at least 10 years old. So.......snip- yep, using it up!
This first card created for a Sketch challenge over at About Oriental Stamp Art (Yahoo Group). I used the crane images by Michael Strong and embossed them directly onto the gold cardstock. I also used up a small amount of ribbon as well.
I made a second card as a RAK for a member of the AOSA group- using a Crafters Companion set- I guess it is not available anymore.
I was drawn to Oriental art before my daughter moved there to teach, and still enjoy it after her three years there and 3 trips to Asia for me! (So glad she is closer to home though!).

Pretty cards and I like the colour combos. I hear you about cutting up precious patterned paper... I am better at it than I used to be though, so silly when you really think about it, buying all this paper which is never used! Crafter's logic!
