It's the end of the Falliday road! LOL These are the last two challenges for me : )
For the first challenge at SCS, I used a technique called Splash Watercolor. It is a bit different than the way I work with Distress Inks. I used a Unity image. The cardstock is white shimmery, Gold metallic and watercolor paper. Sequins are SU. Distress inks are Broken China and Peeled Paint.
For the Ways to use it challenge at SCS, we used fiber- it is good for you. LOL
The image is from Createful Heart Digis and is the stamp of the month at The Outlawz progressive challenge. I colored it with Copics. The DP is unknown. I added tree dies using Glorious Green and Wasabi. The fiber was in my stash. For my outdoorsy son, this is spot on! Love it and will sent it to him before I put it away and forget about it!

Sunday Stampin'
I am working on Christmas cards completing the Falliday challenges. This is the Sketch challenge from last week at Splitcoaststampers.
I used a stamp from Unity, DSP SU.
This is for the Featured Stamper challenge
And, one more today- this is for the Inspiration Challenge. The stamps and DSP are from SU.
This stamp is SU, and the die is from ebay. We have a friend who will soon be a Grandma for the first time- her daughter was our kids babysitter back in the day. She does not know if it is a boy or a girl, so here I am prepared in advance....!!!

CYS-Halloween
For the Challenge Your Stash Challenge this month, we are digging out 'older' stash Halloween 'stuff'.
I combined this CYS challenge with the color challenge at SCS. I used old but well loved SU stamps which I cannot seem to part with- aren't they fun? I added a Cheery Lynn Die which I cut into pieces and added the kids on the card.
Thanks for a fun challenge Jody!
Challenges:
Daring Cardmakers- Blended backgrounds
Outlawz-Festive Fridays-Halloween
Die Cuttin Divas- Halloween
Tuesday Throwdown- Spooktacular
The CYS group can be located here. List mom Barb had the brilliant idea- lets use our stash items- with a monthly theme, I am sure finding no shortage of items to use in my creative space for this challenge...!!! Even those in the 'get rid of' pile....... HERE is a link to all of the October cards the group members posted for this challenge.

Counting down.......
I have 7 more cards to make after today and a little less than a week to go to finish Falliday challenges. I was able to work in a couple of swaps that I had not completed yet.....
This is a new stamp at Michael Strong Stamps- isn;t it adorable? I used the Way To Use it challenge at SCS and 'Cut Out' the bamboo. The Panda kanji is by Art Neko. This card is for a sketch challenge at the AOSA (About Oriental Art Stamps Yahoo group).
I have never seen the Nightmare Before Christmas, so took the inspiration from the picture supplied. I have a SIL who is totally all in to Halloween and everything that goes with it, so it will be going postal tomorrow.
The bottom is a stamp by Rubber Cafe. The image on top of that is by Sweet Stamps and is actually a cork screw image : ) The pumpkins are Clear Dollar Stamps and the sentiment is Stampin Up.
Lastly, this is an ATC for a lottery at AOSA
This is for the felt challenge for Falliday. The theme of the ATC lottery this month is fans. The background is called glue resist. I stamped Elmers glue on the background with bubble wrap, once dry I used Distress Ink over it. The fan is Stampin Up and was colored with Distress markers and embossed with clear EP. The black insert with white image is Memory in the Making by Leisure Arts.

Wednesday stampin
Another successful stamping day. I even did grocery shopping and fed the crew a yummy dinner : ) I will get to blogs as I can, I really am trying hard to complete the Falliday challenges- another week.....we'll see!
I worked on a couple of the Falliday Tutorials today and a couple of cards too.
The turkey tutorial is really so fun, I ended up making a couple of extras. I just love these : )
And, I also made the Witches hat
This is a fun easy and cute little hat.
This card is to showcase our favorite Holiday food. I LOVE pumpkin pie. This is a Clear Dollar Stamp image, sentiment is unknown, but I think it is Eureka Stamps.
And, I made a card for the wallflower challenge- stamp your image off the corner. I used an old set called Cottage Rose- still mounted on wood too! LOL This set is Stampin Up and I used Pale Plum and Plum for the flowers. Sentiment is Sweet and Sassy.

Stampin Away!
I have a goal to work on Falliday cards, hoping I can try to complete the challenges. So, today I was at it again : )
For the Coat of Many Colors challenge, I used ink through a stencil, then Light modeling paste through a different stencil. I added ink over the modeling paste. I used burlap with gesso painted on it. Added 'Joy' die cut out of foam and embossed over the ink because the ink would just wipe off. Added some ribbon to the bottom of the burlap. Stamped the flower image onto the background, then stamped it in black and fussy cut it out. I colored with Copics. The heart was fussy cut out. I added Sakura Stardust pen for sparkle over the heart and parts of the flower.
Flower and heart- Unity. The 'joy' die is Memory Box.
Fall drinks- think Apple Cider or ......my Mom lives with me and she drinks only coffee : ) I know a few other people who are the same way. So, I had to play with ink and stencils and coffee cups! The coffee mug images are Michael Strong and the sentiment My Favorite Things.
For the All Caps challenge, I used a sentiment by My Favorite Things embossed in black. The cupcakes are Michael Strong, colored with Distress Ink markers. The DP is SU.
Challenges TBA

Oh Stamping Fun!
Yes, more Falliday, but I thought I had better find a new title......
This challenge called for Masking. I stamped this fun image by Impression Obsession, masked it and colored around it with Distress Inks. For the bottom portion, I applied the color, then laid a stencil on it that had been spritzed with water. The image is colored with Copics. The sentiment is SU- I used just 1/2 of the sentiment.
So, this challenge was to use the movie, A Christmas Story as the theme. Well, my son asks for bullets for his Christmas gift..... he is a nature buff, so although I am not the biggrest fan of guns, guess if he encounters a bear or a mountain lion he is safer with one than without.
I thought the Unity image if glasses with the lens cracked would be a fun idea. The gems are supposed to mimic bullets on a target. I am not sure he will get it though...... we'll see. The sentiment is by Lawn Fawn.
And, finally a card I made for the SCS Featured Stamper- Jeanette aka Forest Ranger who is a blogging friend! Wahoo Jeanette! Jeanette has also been a Unity girl, and inspired me to purchase a few Unity stamps : ) This is one of those stamp sets from Unity CAS and powerful!

Falliday again : )
I am back at creating for Falliday again today (and yesterday). I had fun trying some new techniques too.
The dendritic technique is similar to a TJ technique, but I did it between pieces of a CD case. I added some Iridescent medium to the purple paint so it has shimmer to it too. Images by Paper Smooches.
This card used yarn wrapped around a block and dipped into white paint. The challenge is names, "It's a Blizzard". Therefore, I wanted to make a snow scene. I opened a SU die drawer for another die, and shamefully, found this set of dies I did not even remember I had....so, I opened it and put it to use. The glitter is Sparkle and Sprinkle. The sentiment is also SU and is embossed in Silver EP.
This card is using a technique where you use water to make your stamping run. I ended up re-coloring the image with markers and re-stamping, as the image had too much detail to leave as it was. I added edging with a glitter pen. The sentiment is SU.
And, finally (for today)
I have never tried this technique before- you ink up your stamping block and use it to make an impression on your cardstock. The challenge, Ceal, is the queen of CAS so I challenged myself to make a CAS card. Images by Lawn Fawn.

Falliday Recycle
My Blog friend Jeanette ( SCS aka Forest Ranger) is a Falliday Hostess-post was Friday 10/20 Yippee! Her challenge is to recycle- I could not help but jump in and play.
And, had to make another!!!
My Mom went to Yoga class with my sister (who is the teacher too). My Mom could not resist the chocolate store downstairs, so as they were leaving, stopped in for a sample and had to buy a few things. She bought 2 candy bars to bring home- both Dark Chocolate. One had orange in it, the other salted caramel. I have used the wrappers on the bars on my cards. I do not enjoy dark chocolate as milk chocolate, but had to join in and try our treats : )
Next time I visit my sister, I will have to check out the shop with beautiful candy bar wrappers : )

More Falliday : )
I had some free time again today so worked on challenges for Falliday over at Splitcoast.
The first challenge is to make a fall card but use no white or Vanilla on it.
I stamped the Sunflower by PSX onto So Saffron. I colored it with Copics. The background is stamped with a Stampin Up image.
This challenge is to decorate your door or window for the Holidays.
The wreath is made with a Cheery Lynn die and SU green cardstock.
This card is a Holiday card with Scoring on it.
This die is by Creative Expressions. I cut it out using Bo Bunny DSP. The gold borders are score tape with Gold EP.
This is the final card- a technique with dies.
I think the Joy doe is Memory Box. The background is Technique Junkies. It is stamped onto white glossy cardstock.

Birds of feather and more......
I cannot believe I had the opportunity to create again today : ) For the Falliday challenge at Splitcoast, I was able to create 3 more cards : )
For the Birds of a feather challenge:
This image is by Impression Obsession. I colored it with Copics. DP is Bo Bunny. Cardstock SU. Sentiment Stampin Up.
And, for a patriotic challenge plus we were to add a heart:
This Stampin Up image is one of my all time favorites : ) Godspeed. The sentiment and heart from a set from Firecracker Designs by Pamela (closed- similar set available at Our Daily Bread Designs).
And, I got Tutorial #1 done, make a bauble with Alcohol Inks:
I am not sure where I got this die- it is in my misc die drawer (maybe die-Versions?) Anyway, I cut it from Silver cardstock and added it to a purple/red plus metallic shimmer background. The cardstock is from a resale shop- shimmery as shimmery can get- so pretty IRL! I embossed a sentiment by Paper Smooches on it in silver.

More Falliday
Falliday over at Splitcoast is a group of challenges. I just love the inspiration of stamping alot in a short period of time, and especially using different techniques.
This first card is themed Christmas Around the World, and we are to show a type of transportation.
This will be what the Holiday trip looks like for my son, his wife and their dogs. For this trip, the adults will be saying are we there yet as the dogs will have lots of bundled up energy!
Images/cardstock/inks are all Stampin Up.
Picking up the pieces...aka use the bits and pieces laying around on your craft table...in a neat pile ready to be put away..... I made cards for the day care my Mom attends, and these are some of the left over bits. The wreath (Memory Box) was cut out and colored bits over the flowers cut out and fussy cut. I added some watercolor droplets and a nice Sentiment from Sunny Studio Design.
Fall texture was the challenge for this card. I scored the card top in both directions, and added embossed leaves. The image panel is cut out and a Wasabi cardstock panel slightly larger than the one cut out glued on to the back of the panel, a stitched rectangle so it looks nice and neat inside. Image Stampin Up, Sentiment Sunny Studio Design.Leaf die Cheery Lynn.
Finally, a card for my sports crazed husband. He is on an over 53 baseball league, and is going to join his team for a tournament in Florida shortly. I'll give him this card when we arrive. He is so excited : ) Images Stampin Up and Hero Arts.

You are......
A bright and hopefully cheery card made for Falliday at SCS. The challenge is to make a warm fuzzy card and give to someone that you may not know.
The stencil is Sweet Stamps. I used Distress Inks through the stencil. The sentiment and backing are cut using Die-Versions dies.

Fall Blessings
I had a little more free time today, so made another card for Falliday at Splitcoaststampers. Challenge #3 asks for a card using the word kindness.
I love this sentiment- it can be used for any 'season'. I got out Distress Oxide inks- there are tiny sprinkle marks on this card that are not too visible. The leaf dies are Cheery Lynn Designs, The cardstock and the EF are by SU. I added a bit of Queens Gold EP (Ranger) to the card to match the sentiment.

Etching
For Falliday (SCS) card #2, you are to find a technique that starts with your first name in the tutorial section of SCS. I found one that I have never tried, Stamp Etching.
I used an image I won from Graciellie Design : ) It has been sitting on my desk, I wanted to try some foiling with the image, but could not resist using it for this technique. I also won the digi paper pack that coordinates with it, AND a coordinating paper stack from Paper Temptress.
I printed out the image and fussy cut it out. I used a Pitt pen for the technique. The die the flower is sitting on is Gina Marie. The cardstock and ribbon is Paper Temptress.
Challenges:
Cards 4 Galz- Monochromatic

'Critter' scene
I was able to start on Day one of Falliday at SCS. The first technique is a drunken one..... Alcohol Inks that is.... This technique is done on Yupo paper. The tutorial is on SCS.
So, this is Alcohol inks on Yupo paper. The paper is like plastic, so it takes a while for the ink to dry. I was also pretty nervy embossing on it. I had the heat gun hot and just lightly passed the heat side to side (not continuously) until the embossing powder melted. (Heat will melt/warp the paper if you hold the heat gun on it until the EP melts).
I had a blast using this cute set from Lawn Fawn that I won recently ( from Outlawz compliments of Oozak ). Isn't this a fun scene? I am imagining the little guy on the Lt is sliding down that hill : )

Oh, Love.........
I made a card for my BIL and his bride- they were married Saturday : )
I used shimmery cardstock for the base, and embossed a layer with the hearts- ohhhh I bought this cardstock from a resale shop- so beautiful IRL! I used a beautiful shimmery silver cardstock between the layers and for the cans on the die and the highlights on the car. The car die is from Die-Versions and is called Just Married Car.
The 4-Ever on the license plate is from Clear Dollar Stamps. The Silver embossed {Mr and Mrs} stamp has no marking on it- so unknown wedding stamp set.

Oct COF
For the October Crafters of Faith posting, hostess Susan (P) gave us this challenge:
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV.
'Use anything with a quilt, tapestry, artwork of sorts on your card '
I have this Gina Marie die that is perfect for the challenge. And, I have a friend who will be a Grandma for the first time in a month or so : ) Perfect! The sentiment is from a MFT set.
Well, I had to make more than one with all of the cut outs : )
Crafters of Faith is an Open group at SCS- you can find the group if you look under Swaps/Cards/Open/Crafters of Faith. Our dear leader is Kelly, and you can find her blog HERE.
If you would like to see cards the other members created, you can look in the gallery HERE at Splitcoaststampers.com

Oh Baby!
I had the fun opportunity to attend a baby shower for a friend- she has 4 kids and the youngest are boy/girl twins (the same age as my twins. The shower was for her oldest daughter and first born. It is her 1st grandchild : )
They have chosen NOT to find out the sex/gender of the baby, so the theme was gray. I had fun using this baby die in Gray and layered it on an embossed white card. The sentiment is by Stamps of Life.
I also made a tag for the gift:
This was made using a wooden bear that was covered with SU DSP. I added some ink around the edges and added a tag and some ribbon & twine. I left the bear itself blank so they could write the name of the baby on it once he/she arrives.
The mom used to babysit for my youngest. We are all excited for the baby to arrive!!!
Challenges:TBA
