Napkin Card class

One of the techniques I have always wanted to do was to make cards from Napkins.  So, I saw a class at a local store and signed up my mother and myself : )

I love this pretty card : ) There is enough left over for another card too!

This is so pretty IRL, I would never have picked up this napkin as the flower is 'fuzzy' in appearance, but it is lovely.  We have enough supplies to make 3 more of this one too.....

I will not look at napkins the same again- isn't this lovely?  We have enough to make 3 more of this one as well.

This fun one is perfect for a masculine card- enough supplies to make one more of this one each.

The designs are by Jan at Creative Crafts and More in Villa Park Ill.  It was a fun class and at the perfect pace. We did a little cutting/prep in advance which made the class go very smoothly. And, the insides of the cards are decorated as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shelly, you sure seem to get to take a lot of fun classes! That is a very creative way to use napkins.

Wonderful cards are these Shelly!
Yes - the best cards and other things can be made with napkins!
Cheap and versatile - and if not needed or used in art any longer,
they are also handy to have them at the lunch table---am I right?!

Happy week

What a fun idea to use napkins. Your cards a beautiful. I do wish we had a store aroud here that would do classes. All our stores have closed. We just have Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I've used napkins on wine bottles to decorate them but I think this looks so cool on cards. You and your Mom did an amazing job!

Wow... who knew? These are gorgeous cards and I would never, ever have thought of using napkins. I do have a friend who years ago did some tole painting on wood with napkins and it was very pretty but I would not have thought to use them on a card.

Donna gave you a shoutout for the beautiful napkin idea she used on her post, so I had to come and see! I've made cards with them, too, and think it is so cool that you get so many from one! Each of these designs from your class made awesome cards! Now I have more great ideas and I thank you for that, Shelly!! Hugs, Darnell

Zipped over from Donna's link, and enjoyed all these lovely napkin cards. I especially love the cardinal one (of course!) but each design made such a pretty & very unique card. I've not been real successful when I tried with the napkins (after having bought quite a few packs from TM). The class sure made you a pro with the technique though, and TFS what you've created. So lovely! Hugs & Happy Easter.
