ATC Envelope Art

My monthly ATC group met today and we traded 'Envelope Art' . The swaps are always open to our interpretation. I made a number of different designs and challenged myself to use some supplies that are in my stash...... I made a number of different ATC's- so lots of pictures.....  I used Manilla folders from my work that were going to go in the garbage- have had them for over a year......  I cut out 2 different designs of envelope templates I found on google and used Distress stains to add color to the envelopes. I also made some stencils with my Silhouette Cameo, and used light modeling paste on all of the envelopes.
I used a die from SweetStamps.com and cut it out of foam and used it as a stamp- the brown/purple and the black is a die as well. The flower die is also from Sweet Stamps.

Here is the back- and inside are some purple shimmery butterflies for the recipients.

 Next is a Fall ATC:
More dies- on the back- forgot to get a picture- are leaves cut from a Memory Box die in Orange, yellow and Green. The Tree is also Memory box, the squirrel is from a Cheery Lynn die set ( a large tree and 5 animals). I cut out extra leaves and put them inside of the envelope and an extra tree for all of the recipients.

This set is a Halloween duo- I cut out a black cat and a tree and placed them inside of this envelope. The images are from SweetStamps.com. There is a witch and a swirly flourish on the back.

I had to add an Asian ATC into the mix:
Ohhh I think this is my favorite : )  The flower/butterfly is from I Brake for Stamps. Here is the back:
This image is also from IBFS and the Kanji is from the stamp with the  floral image on the front of the ATC.

Next, I had some fun with a Shaving Cream background I had in my stash:
I used a card 4.25x5.5- cut to 3.5, scored at 2.5" from the top and scored @ 1.5" and folded that up. I cut off the remaining piece. I used ~ 1.5" for the top piece, scored at 1/4" and used score tape to add this piece to the top- making my envelope- then adjusted the depth of the top piece. I added the SweetStamps swirl in purple and the Michael Strong Circle Stamp in Purple- new SU color.
Here is the back:
The purple cord is from Target -dollar spot : )

Next, I pulled out some rub-ons- I have never used any of these sheets- time to use some of the stash!
Front of #1:

Back of #1

I put a couple of the wooden trinkets inside- they come on a pin.

Here is #2- a little Steampunk- used gears from a SU punch (and I added a couple more punches inside).
and the back:

And the last one with rub-on's:
and the back:
and the twine was intended to be at an angle- there is some cool ribbon hidden inside of this one : )

What a fun time I had creating these!

Oh- I created with a couple of challenges in mind:
Mixed Media challenge- use Fall Colors- metal on the leaf brad, the leaves are on the back
Just Us Girls- Leaves- brad-front and die cut leaves on reverse
Papercrafting Magic- Inspired by- Terry- she is a master at using the Ranger Distress inks and adding textures!
Sisterhood of Snarky- Monochromatic- yep- a few of the above ATC's- love playing with these talented girls!
Creative Corner- Cutsy animals- squirrel on Fall themed ATC
Simply Create Too- Something new- ATC sized stencils made with my Cameo : ) and die cut with foam and used as a stamp.
Simon Wednesday- Stamp it!
Altered Eclectics- Mixed Media

Thanks for stopping by!
