Sweet Stamps- Embossed Embossing- Monthly Challenge

The Sweet Stamps Challenge-Technique Challenge for 1/15-2/14 is Embossed Embossing.
Here is a tutorial (on SCS) for Embossed Embossing.
I used Coordinations Lavenders for my cardstock (the darkest two in the set). I used the antistatic pad, then embossed the cardstock using the Scrollworks embossing folder. I brayered over the raised embossing with the embossing ink, then applied Fantasy Ivory embossing powder.  I used a small paintbrush for remove fly-away embossing powder. I added the butterflies and some rhinestones.

I decided to finish my 1st attempt at the embossed embossing instead of trashing it- I did a bad job with the fly away embossing powder.  I think it is OK despite that.........
I used Sandy Tans Coordinations and the Fantasy Ivory Embossing powder. I made a star from a scrap of the technique and added some twine and a Candy brad. The Patterned Paper is by My Minds Eye. The ribbon was a purchase from a scrapbook store in Breckenridge, Co.

Love both your cards! The sympathy card is very elegant with the white embossed embossing swirls, and the horse card is fun with the polka dots and your "western" embellishments!

Shelly, both of these cards are gorgeous! I love the look of the embossed embossing. What an interesting technique. And wow!!! I love how you made the loop of "rope" and added it to your horse card. Very clever!

Fantastic cards. Love the embossing and the purple is fab. Love the second card too, the twine is a fabulous embellishment. Thank you for joining us at OSAAT this week. Good luck. Hugs, Jill x

These are gorgeous! I love both of them. Even though the embossing on the second one didn't come out to your satisfaction it gives it a vintage feel. Sometimes my mistakes turn out to be better than I think! I'll have to try this technique sometime.

Gorgeous butterflies on a purple card -- 2 of my favorite things, Shelly! The horse is beautifully CAS, another thing I love though I don't always do it well. I certainly don't do it THIS well!

What's not to like. It's purple! Love the gorgeous sympathy card.

Fabulous horse card. You never know how a card is going to turn out. Glad you didn't trash it.

Love both of your cards, such different designs. I love the bright colors of the butterflies on the purple background. The added elements on the horse oval and the papers you chose work well together.
