Spotlight or Reverse Spotlight is the theme at the Sweet Stamps Challenge blog this week.
I had so much fun with this challenge. I wanted to use this fun Tulip Bunny image from Sweet Stamps. I stamped it with Memento Black ink and colored it with Copic markers.
Sweet Stamps has Copic Marker Sets available that coordinate and I used a few of these sets on my card- the flowers were colored with Rosy Reds, the stems were colored using Victorian Greens, the bunny was colored with Warm Shadows and the blue bow was colored using Sky Blue.
I used the Out of the Box technique where part of the image extends outside of the die. The image was also stamped on the Kraft cardstock. The white layer of the image was layered on the Kraft cardstock for the Spotlight technique. Next, I layered the image on Bo Bunny Vicki Designer Paper.
I added a Zig Zag stitch around the edges in brown thread.
Next, I die cut and embossed the solid cardstock with the Anja Corner die cut. As a final touch, I used the Fence, Bird and Birdhouse dies from THIS set for the fence and the bird. I made the fence with a door that was a little ajar..... the white cardstock was sponged with a little Antique Linen Distress Ink so it would coordinate better with the DSP.I hope you will join in the challenge! Every entry qualifies you for a chance to win $20 of items from the store at Sweet Stamps, and if you use a Sweet Stamps image- you will receive an additional chance to win! Please note- there is a limit of 10 challenges for each entry. The winner is chosen by Random.org- so everyone has a chance to win!
