Bloggers Challenge for this week is : In Bloom
I made this card for the Technique Newsletter- I had the privilege of Guest Designing- and the Varnished Mahogany is one of the new techniques from the latest newsletter. It is fast and easy and I love the look of it!
The sentiment is a digi from Rain Drop Echo-it was a freebie file in the past and it is framed in a Nestability and I used Wisped Frames too. I added Roses from McMahon Five Designs. The punch is by MS and I used Kraft cardstock. I also used the bird punch from SU for the leaves.
Bloggers challenge is open to everyone- come join us- Challenge Mom Lisa's blog can be found HERE.

This is so beautiful! Love your card. Great background.
Beautiful card and beautiful sentiment.
I love the way you used the gate type die cut with the bricks. I'm usually not a real big fan of silk flowers for some reason, but I love the way you do them:)
Love the trellis with the flowers against the brick wall. Gorgeous card.
Shelly this is fabulous - love that background!!
Blessings

SO pretty! Love how the brick wall looks behind the sentiment.
I love how you do the trellis on the wall. I hadn't thought about using sentiments this way, but Word Art Wednesdays has a ton of sentiments that would look awesome on a card like this.
Well my dear, you have inspired me to try this technique! What a gorgeous and realistic background! Love how you used the MS punch (think I have that one)for a lattice. Beautiful card! Happy Saturday!
wow this is a great card Shelly-love the wall bg-fabulous
Beautiful card Shelly, that flower trellis is gorgeous! Thanks for visiting my blog, I so appreciate this. Have a lovely Sunday, Ira

*thud* This is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love the trellis with the roses and your brick background is awesome!
Love the way you've let the flowers 'grow' up the lattice... it's beautiful!
Shelly, Delightful card! Love the trellis and bricks. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. I don't know why I never thought to follow your via e-mail (that's the way I follow most blogs), but I've done it now and will be a more faithful follower from now on! I get really great inspiration from you. :-D
Very pretty. I really like the roses and the trellis.
