New Release at McMahon Five Designs

The entire New Release at McMahon Five Designs is below this post.  I choose to work with Peppermint- a release by Solocosmo.

At my recent ATC exchange Christmas party at Mary Warner's home, I found this petal fold card- Mary has the Accu cut die for it- and she had a sale in progress, so I picked this up (not the die- the card was cut and ready to go).....

I printed Peppermint on Cryogen White card stock and shaped it to the inside of the card.  (I copied the back of the card for my template).  I held the template behind the card stock up to the window to center it and lightly traced around the inside.  I cut off an extra 1/16th of an inch so the image would fit inside the folded card.

Next, I colored the image and pierced the edges for a little dimension.
 Here is the open card:

The way Mary's template cut out, the outside is 'Peppermint' and the inside is plain Red.

And here is a close up view of the image:

I googled Petal card on the internet, and found THIS template. If you make something with it, I'd love to see it!  I have one more that has snowflakes on it.....for another day!

The ribbon is from Michael's and the tags were a freebie I picked up last year- unfortunately- unlabeled- if you know the source, please drop me a line!

I hope you have a great day- My Blog Candy ends tonight- I will draw a winner once I arrive home from work.......we are super busy, so there is no telling what time that will be- but I will be bold and say I will draw by 9:00PM CST.

Thanks for Stopping By and Have a Blessed Day!
Shelly

Hi Shelly! Love your card and that petal shape. I have seen some Accucut dies that I love but they are so expensive so I just pass. I guess they're really meant for businesses.

Like the Petal Fold Card & sketch. Not made a Petal Fold Card before. My daughter who is a sophomore in college studying Art Animation is the artist when it comes to drawing people's fatures. You can see her sketches of Johnny Depp on my blog sidebar.

Hi Shelly! Well you scored nicely on this one ... I absolutely LOVE this fold - resembles a poinsettia and inside a candy candy, oops, PEPPERMINT Girl?! How perfect!! Great job... wish I could get my hands on this template? Maybe an SVG for it! LOL. Have yourself a Merry Li'l Christmas *Ü*
Peace and JOY,

This is a really fun card shape, and I'm hoping to try it myself! I do have to say that I didn't understand why the girl had to have such scary, sharp teeth, until I scrolled down and saw that it was a peppermint in her mouth, and not fangs.
