Chinese New Year, Stamping Fun w/friends and Snow in the 'burbs of Chicago

 I joined an Asian Swap thru the Rubber Stamp Chat group- somehow in our chatter it turned into a "Year of the Rabbit" theme......

 My ATC uses a Technique Junkies background Wax Paper Resist and a couple of unknown backgrounds I did not mark for the lanterns...  I had to add a rabbit on the bottom- a digi that I did not label when I downloaded it.....   Fun swap- I cannot wait for them to come back.
 I spent Friday night with some friends and we decided to stamp.  We made card 'kits' for everyone and of course I had to do a technique- mine is the card I posted Friday for the Bloggers Challenge- everyone enjoyed a spring themed card. 

 Diane created a great card-I have never made a 'dress' card before- so loved this one. We used  a Nestability for the dress and the  SU scallop oval punch for the belt. The purse is also a SU punch- too fun. We simply inserted the DSP a little farther than 1/2 way and punched. then turned over the DSP thet was over the center to make the top band on the purse-easy!    I showed the ladies how to color rhinestones with Bic or Sharpie markers (or Copics can also be used) to coordinate with the card.

 We all sew and do needlework of some type and various other creative endeavors.... We have known each other for years, and decided it would be fun to take a picture.  Lt-Rt Diane, Jennie, Me, Kim, Lisa, Pat and Sara. I have traveled for Sewing vacations with Jennie, Lisa and Pat in the past- such fun memories!
 One more note- snow in Chicago- Diane lives in a Cul-de-sac- the City mounded up the snow in the center- it had to be 15 feet high or more....to bad I did not take a picture- it is something to see!  Here are a couple of my Blizzard of 2011 pictures:
