Happy Thanksgiving!
I could not resist using the new Fall Owls stamps again-especially today on Thanksgiving.
The images are all colored with Copic markers. The DP is from a paper stack with no cover on it....
I added a button with a bow and some sequins for accents. The eyes look like this when stamped- I love the look!
Here are the products from the Sweetstamps store I used on the card:
Fall Owls Clear Set
Tuxedo Black Memento pad
Copic Sketch Markers
Scrollwork Embossing folder
Papaya Ink Spot
I have a couple of chalenges for this card:
Sketch- Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Crafty Creations- embossing
Cards in Envy- Thanksgiving
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Oriental- Pink + Black
I joined in a Mingle at the Yahoo Group- Oriental Stamp Art to make a Pink + Black card. Right up my Alley..... I love pink.
I used DP by Prima and a die cut from the Oriental Crane die in Black- the die is by Tattered Lace. The Kanji is from a MFP background stamp. The sponged center square is covered with Versamark and clear embossed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Stamps- Thanks
The challenge at Sweet Stamps for this week is Thanks.
I am in the Thanksgiving mind-set already. I do not have to cook or clean, but am thinking about what I am making to bring to the celebration.
I inked up the Avery Cornucopia image with Memento Tuxedo ink on Georgia Pacific cardstock. The image was colored with Copic Markers. I decided to 'ground' my image and started using my E00 marker below the image, then decided to add dots of different browns. The top of the card has a subtle blue sky- I punched out a scalloped oval and sponged on a pale blue ink on one edge of it. I added a sentiment from the Fall Owls set and added a border by Cheery Lynn.
Here are the items from the store I used:
Avery Cornucopia
Fall Owls-sentiment
Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Coordinations Papers- Sandy Tans (Quicksand and Sandstone) and Coffee Cafe (French Roast)
Cherry Lynn Tiffany border die
Copic Sketch markers
Our winners are chosen by Random.org- and if you use a Sweet Stamps image, your entry will count x's 2!

Tuesday Throwdown- Swirls and Pearls
We are creating using Swirls and Pearls at Tuesday Throwdown this week.
Our Sponsor for the Challenge is Sweet n Sassy Stamps. We were given digi's to create with, and I chose the Christmas Puppy and I added a sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Digi set.
Can you see the swirls in the die? The die, Mini Medallion, is a Sweetcuts die, and I cut it out using old wrapping paper- recycling : ) The image is colored with Copic markers, and I added Stardust Gelly Roll pen for sparkle. The big die by Spellbinders is cut and then the die is placed back over the image and the edges are sponged with Ranger Barn Door ink.
The background DP has clear embossed snowflakes- and is by MME. The stripes are Imaginsce and is called Peppermint Stick. The brown cardstock is by Bazzill. The trim is from Tim Holtz.
My dog is named Peanut- he was a winner this weekend- OSU vs MSU- he had it covered......My hubby did this to him. Our oldest daughter went to OSU, our youngest is a senior at MSU. He would look so cute in a Christmas stocking : )
Challenges:
I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday for my card.
My Perfect Life- Christmas Card AG
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown- Color Challenge
Outlawz- Cute Christmas
Sugar Creek Hollow- Recycling
Alphabet Challenge- T is for Traditional Christmas

SweetStamps- Stripes
The SweetStamps challenge for this week is Stripes
I added color to the background using Ranger Distress Inks. The inks were tapped onto the craft mat and spritzed with water. I dragged/ran the cardstock through the color- each color was dried with a heat gun before I applied the next color.
I added the 'stripes' with a stamp and brown Distress ink. I also sponged the edges of the card with Brown Distress ink, in an attempt to add stripes with the Rounded Square stencil.
The 'buck' head is from the On the Hunt set of Piccolo accents an is embossed with Enamel EP. I used Mermaid Tears on the top and Brownstone on the body. I add the Enamel Adhesive to the Buck head and emboss it in a coffee filter.
I hope you will join in with the STRIPES challenge this week found HERE.

Fall is in the air
I had a fun time with the last Technique Junkies newsletter- and this is one of my favorite cards : )
The background is made using Alcohol inks. The stamps are all by Technique Junkies.I spent the weekend in Kentucky seeing my daughter run in a Regional Cross Country meet- she runs Club running at Michigan State University where she is a Senior. Then we were able to spend the weekend at my parents home. The angels were with us, as my Mom had a mini stroke this weekend, and we were able to be there and help out. She has minimal deficits and is working back to recovery. We cannot talk my folks into moving closer to where we live : (
Life happens...... We are blessed to have them with us for all of these years- Mom is 85 and Dad is 86.
Have a great day!

Sweet Stamps-Spooky
The challenge at Sweet Stamps for this week is 'Spooky'. I love Halloween and had fun making a card using the Technique Junkies technique called Acetate Resist.
Ohhhhh- this is created on an acetate sheet cut and folded into a card. The color is done with Alcohol inks. I stamped the images from the Halloween Silhouettes stamp set in Black on the outside of the card. The swirls are done using the Flourishes images from Sweet Stamps.I added cardstock inside and it is anchored down with the black fiber I added at the top.
Spooky enough? I had a blast- come join us for the challenge!
