I took a couple of classes this past weekend at Create- which were so fun! I have quite a few Alcohol inks and took a class using Alcohol inks on Yupo paper. I loved this class- and learned alot about using the inks- which I already have : )
Here is what we created:
The lower samples are what we began with using different mediums like hand sanitizer and white glue too. Some artists create fabulous pictures using Alcohol inks on Yupo- including my instructor- who was fabulous..... Cathy Taylor- Check out her pictures...... HERE and look under Alcohol Inks- LOVE the Peacock......WOW!
So, I had a great fun day and will look forward to having time to do this again at home : )
The top Lt- is not one we learned in the class. I put a piece of wax paper over my work area- which I made a huge inky mess out of.....and used the ink drippings from the piece on the Rt and used the wax paper and drippings like I use my Gelli plate. I added some yellow and pulled two of these sheets- I will use them for ATC's or cards......
My second class was fun- but I am slow, so could have used more time- Doodling! Joanne Sharpe was my instructor- another fabulous class! My Umber talented ATC friend Trena was in both of the classes- she is a coloring Queen : ) Anyway, here are a few of the things we did:
We used Watercolor paper and lots of different Mediums.....Watercolor paint (I used some my DD gave me from China), Silks Paints, Twinkling H2O's, a Sharpie Paint Pen, Pitt pen in Black and a NEW Pitt pen in White that has a big tip on it- you are going to want one of these : ) We also used a White Signo pen and a Metallic Gelly Roll Pen. The shimmer, of course, does not show up in the pictures.
I will work on finishing these and just create- it was ALOT of fun....... Joanne played music in the class- which I will do when I do more of this at home.
Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Wow - the colors are so bright and playful! Will you be hoarding these samples, or will I see them on cards in the future?
Looks like a great weekend Shelly with lots of fuel for more fun, as well as the sample you came home with!
