Weekend Workshop at Joan's Garden

I went to a workshop this weekend at Joan's Garden.  I met Darlene online and she told me about the workshop, and I thought it sounded fun PLUS I got to meet Darlene!  Fun was had by all.......!
Here is what we made:
First we put the shell of the box together, then we learned how to make the Roses on the lid.

The stamp on the side is by Just Rite. I am not sure who makes the die we used on the lid........

Project #2 we had fun with a product called Glitter Peel and Glitter Ritz Glitter.  The glitter gets burnished into the Be Creative Tape with the sticker on it, and then you can color the image with water based markers or Copics.  I used Copics for the Green and SU Pink markers- 3 different shades for the flower blooms.

So, the black is the Peel sticker and the glitter was colored in- and- you do not end up sparkling all over- the glitter stays put.......

This is the card that was designed for us to make Selma Stevenson and here is my card base:

Now you can see the details of all of the die cutting and embossing involved in the card....... On the front gatefold is yet another die we all cut.....

This is the group of ladies we crafted with.....  I am in the back row- 4th from the Right.  Debbie from my ATC group came with me- she is 4th from the Lt- and she is a collage artist- and does not really rubber stamp...and I have to say she did an excellent job!  We had to get up at 5AM to drive over to Indiana....that was the only bad part about it....long drive....

I also had the opportunity to meet Darlene from Akron Ohio- don't you just love meeting blogging friends IRL?

And, there is my friend Debbie hiding behind us- we had a great time!

I tell everyone that mentions my addiction to stamping/papercrafting that I could be an alcoholic.....- so I did get a message when I arrived home from Julie- who got up even earlier than I did..... to stay out of the bars......  LOL  Guess that means I need to keep on crafting......!  Keep on keeping on as they used to say in the day.......

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Wow! This stuff looks familiar. LOL! You did a wonderful job on the projects and it was great meeting you. I'm looking forward to the next Joan's Garden workshop. BTW my Cuttlebug was shot. My hubby took it apart and the metal was busted. I have to get a new one. New goodies to look forward to!

HI Shelly! I was at Joan's workshop too! Your blogging buddy Kathleen with whom I am in a cardkit swap told me you were there and asked if we met; so I had to look up your blog! Dar is a wonderful friend, too! Always ends up a small world. Like Dar said, hope we can meet up again at the next workshop! I the group pic, I'm right in the middle with red top standing next to your friend! :)
