Little Bo Peep- McMahon Five Designs New Releases 8/11/11

  My youngest is getting ready to fly the coop- going away to college in a couple of weeks, so I am thinking back to ...yesterday it seems...when we used to read her books at night. 
  So, what was your favorite book to read to the kids when they were little???

  I enjoyed reading Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes to the kids when they were little and so when I saw this image, I thought it would be fun to make a card with it.  When I did an internet image search, many of the vintage Little Bo Peep images had her dressed in green- so I went with it...... 
 The image is colored with Copics and cut out with the Parisian Motif Spellbinders die. I added an edge of Parisian Accent on the top and on the bottom. If you look closely on the bottom of the card, you will see that the edge of the Parisian Accent is so cool, I used the left over edge of the paper and used that- love that shape. I sewed down a piece of Baker's Twine with a simple Zig Zag stitch on both edges using Prima Madeline music notes paper- and the background green/blue paper is also from Prima Madeline. I added Prima flowers  with Stickles rubbed on the edges, plus Prima Mini Roses over a bed of punched greenery. Finally, I added some Prima pearls with Fimo roses.  The bow has a crystal hat pin through it . To finish off the card, I ran another Parisian accent border to the inside of the card.
