Bloggers Challenge: Reuse/Recycle

I have been saving some corrugated cardboard for a while to play with in my paper crafting adventures (you know I love doing ‘different’ things, right?).  Well, Bloggers Challenge list Mom Lisa S. challenged us to Reuse/Recycle this week.  I recycled and this is what I came up with:

and here is a close up of the shimmer:

I used Red Stickles on the edges of the cardboard squares. I added shimmer to the bird and the hair tie using a Sakura Stardust pen.
I colored the image with Copic markers- using a monochromatic/neutral theme plus one other color for the Gingersnap challenge this week.

Stamp is from I Brake for Stamps

To see what the other Bloggers Challenge players came up with for the theme, Here is the Bloggers Challenge link.

Challenges for my card:
Gingersnap-Neutral plus one other color
Stampin B’s- Paper Piercing
Delightful Challenges-make it sparkle
Paper, Scissors, Rocks- incorporate squares on your card-challenge 83
Corrosive Challenge-Use Unused Craft Stuff- Corrugated cardboard, Sakura Gelly Pen has been pretty lonely too!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Shelly

So clever -- I really like the texture this adds to your card and the stickles make all the difference. Before I read your description, I wondered how you got all those brads so well placed! Nicely done!

Gorgeous Shelly, I would have though that was speciality paper, not cardboard. Genius idea! Love the recycle factor, too.

This background is brilliant with this image - it picks up the fullness in her skirt. The red really perks it up, too.

The background is perfect with this image! The little bit of red sparkle adds a kick, too - great card!
