Floral Bouquet D2D digi

I am back in the saddle with the Designed2Delight images.  During the first week of each month,  Faith posts a free digital image.  If you create a card and post it on her blog, you receive the next digital image free. I started playing along to try out digital images, and really like Faith’s images, so kept on going.

I made two-same image but different layouts and colored them just slightly different.

On the 2nd one, I colored in the plant pot brown- then was not sure it would match the DSP….. I like them both IRL, and already know who is going to get them!  The technique (by the Technique Junkies) is called Herringbone.
The floral bouquet image is colored with Copic markers and I put Glassy Accents/crystal effects in the centers of the flowers.
Challenges:
Iris-flowers  (Iris is 10 and she just started a challenge blog)
Spoonful of Sugar-Floral Delights-flowers in DSP
Creative Card Crew-Thanks You-card #1
Sentimental Sundays-Use your new or neglected stash (DSP-old; image and copics-new)
Charisma-Flowers
Stamp Something-Digital image
Busy Beauties-Anything goes
AI Factory-Anything goes and a punch-card #1
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day.
Shelly

I love both of these, the brown pot looks more traditional, but I love the light colored one, too. I need to try to get to this one, i've slacked off lately, but really love D2D challenges.

Very cute, Shelly...... Like that technique you used from TJ. I've saved this image and am going to TRY to get a card made and posted before the deadline. HOPEFULLY!

Hi Shelly,
That is a great image, I need to stop by the site and pick it up. Your cards are really pretty and an inspiration to get back on my blog!

Very nice! Those flowers look very small to color, I love the idea of glossy accents in the middles! What a fun challenge to participate in each week.

Shelly, great card. don't we just love Faith's images?? I am intrigued the technique. Think I've tried that, just never knew the name of it.
