A Horse is a horse of course, of course……..

ShellySchmidtMay01FCDbandana
I made a background from the Technique Junkies-an oldie- called Bandana. I used Ranger distress inks and a white gel pen for the technique. Next, I layered the background on Kraft cardstock. The image is stamped in Close to Cocoa dye ink then into the Versamark pad, and then clear embossed.  I colored over the horse with Copic markers E31, E33, E35, E37. I sponged and pierced the edges. I added a touch of W3 for a shadow below the horse.
I made this for a blogging sister that went to the Kentucky Derby recently.
Stamps are Firecracker Designs by Pamela
Stamps for the background-SU
This qualifies for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week-brown, blue and white
Thanks for stopping by-have a great day!

Hey Shelly, I got this beauty in the mail on Sat. I LOVE it! The background is the coolest thing ever. I was just coming over here to thank you and was excited to see it posted. Thank you so very much for thinking of me, I just love it. I'm off to check out the set at Firecracker designs, my brother and his family are major horse lovers and I need some horse stamps. Thank you for creating this for me, you made my day!

I just made a card using this technique and I love the way it turns out, but I didn't use distress inks on mine- I never thought to do that, what a great idea. I love the way your background turned out on your card. TFS!
