Cards for soldiers and D2D challenge

I have a box almost ready to send to Afghanistan- a nurse I work with has a young son there, and he is my next soldier to adopt while he is there.  My talented blogging sister Karen from Stamps R Us is active in the Operation Write Home Stars and Stripes- and what better what to get the MoJo going than a challenge? So, I made this card for their sketch:

Stamps are Firecracker Designs by Pamela
SU DSP Nouveau Chic and CS Sage Green
On the butterfly, I used Y11, and touched R39 to the edge of the CD- the marker was so wet with ink, the ink wicked into the wings…….never had that happen before…..! I put a little E35 in the center after using ‘O’ to try to remove some of the burgandy. No glitter or sparkly is allowed for the soldiers, so I stopped here.

Next, I made a card with the digi from Designed2Delight aka D2D

I used Copic markers to color it-colors:
N1, N2, N4, N6, Y11, Y13, Y15, G21, G24, R81, R83, E000, C1
I added the Wisped Frame from Technique Junkies and also added a distressed torn frame to accent the main image. Again I used the Nouveau Chic DSp from Su- which I have had just shy of a year and have not touched until now.
Again- no glitter or glitz for the soldiers, so I stopped- I decided to make it a no lump-no bump card for the soldier to mail home to his mother.
Challenges for this card:
Designed2Delight- play along and get a free digital image
ABC-unused stash-DSP by SU
Dare U to Digi-Anything goes
Polka Doodle-Summer Blossoms
Sweet and Sassy #18-Let your Garden Grow-PCP
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Funny, I can only see four colors in this scan. I bet it's much more impressive in person.
