Thinking of You

I had a bit of time to create today, so went to the Featured Stampers challenge at SCS.  I found a beautiful card HERE. I made a template and created a card!

When you take off the band, the card opens up and the green layer opens to where you can write a note.

When I was in the Netherlands last summer, I bought a kit by Yvonne Creations.  I used the Scan n Cut to cut out the images. There are three layers, and I used dimensionals to layer them up. The edging is from a MS punch using white cardstock.  The DP is by Prima. The cardstock is from the kit. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. The pearls are Kaisercraft.

Fun day to create and I enjoyed using this kit finally!

Day of the Month Card Club- send a card to a friend

Opposites Attract

Happy Valentine's Day! Today I had a few minutes and thought I would do a Splitcoast challenge.  The MIXabilities challenge is to use opposite colors on the color wheel. (Colors across from each other).

I had fun- using a stamp that I have not inked up yet as well.  I used Distress Oxide inks. I inked the inks on, then sprinkled droplets of water onto the card. Next, I inked moe color on through a stencil.  I decided to use Nuvo Glitter gel through a stencil as well.  Next, I added black inking around the edges to make it pop a bit.
The image is from Technique Junkies.  I stamped it first and masked it.  I colored it using Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of the stamp- all one.
I have been thinking about letting my hair go gray....so decided to make her about my age : )

Destination- New York!

The Teapot Tuesday challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers was a destination card.  The card is for a stamper who fell and broke both of her wrists, and had to have surgery. She and her husband were quite the travelers...... I hope this card will cheer her up!

I stamped up this Technique Junkies image on Cannon Mixed Media paper, and watercolored it.  I added the SCS color challenge for the week as well. I used Zig and Arteza waterbrush pens.  I scribbled ink on a craft mat and watered the color down a touch- the lightest blue I have is Cobalt....

As long as I was at it, I stamped the image on Kraft cardstock.  It is by Park Lane and from Joann fabric. It is a coarser cardstock, so used me positioning tool to get a good image, eventually deciding to use Versamark and embossed it with Black EP.  Initially, the plan was to use colored pencils, but I used the watercolors from above instead and used the same colors- just bolder shades.

Stenciled ATC

One more challenge ATC done- this one was to use inspiration from a Stencil store!!!  I can so that!!!

This is a distress ink background, spritzed with water after adding to cardstock, then added stenciling plus stenciling using Texture paste.  Next, I added flowers via a stencil.  I added Sakura Gelly Roll pen over the stenciled flower petals.

Over at Splitcoaststampers.com, I added this to the Satirday Inspiration challenge.  I enjoy making ATC's and also love a challenge : )

Valentine ATC's

Remember the 'old days' when we would pass out Valentines to everyone in our class??? I made some ATC sized Valentines- and was able to join in 2 challenges at Splitcoast with them.  It is so great when I can 'use my stuff'!!!

Distress ink was added to the background, and stenciling done, then texture paste added over the top.  There is WInk of Stella on the 3 hearts.  Image by Unity.

I am not sure if I have ever used this, but the pup has a tongue that is kind of in hte shape of a heart, in my opinion : )   I have the perfect person to send this to!  Image by Ranger/Tim Holtz.  The set comes with dies as well.

The colors on this one were pretty busy, and I found the perfect stamps to use with it!  These images are retired SU.  I made the sentiment. There is shimmer on the bees wings.

They will all be heading to someine via mail by Monday : )

Do you send Valentines to anyone???

COF- Love of God

February 2020: Hostess/Faye:
Scripture: Psalms 63:3-4 make a card to express your love of God.
3Your constant love is better than life itself, and so I will praise you.
4I will give you thanks as long as I live; I will raise my hands to you in prayer.

Challenge: February is often thought of as the month of love. I want to think of the love of God. Using this old hymn "The Love of God is Greater Far"

The images were all stamped and fussy cut.  I colored using Copic markers in R20, R81, R83, R85 plus Y11. The centers of all of the flowers have shimmery glitter from Sparkle and Sprinke applied. There is a background stamp by Unity stamped in Vanilla- burlap type texture- it really os there! I used colors from the SCS color challenge, and added glitter for the Sparkle challenge.

I added some stamping on the inside as well.

The envelope also has one of the larger stamps on it : )  The images are from a set by Graciellie Designs God is Love at Unity.

Crafters of Faith posts on the 7th of each month.  If you are a member at SCS and want to join us, please do!  You can find us at Splitcoaststampers-Forums-Swaps-Cards-Open-Crafters of Faith

Center Stage Valentine

The Center Stage technique was the Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC) at Splitcoast yesterday.  I had a bit of time, so had to join in!

This technique looks hard or time consuming, but it was not too bad to follow at all! This sweetie is a stamp by CC Designs.
I followed the technique and really love the way this turned out!  I used masking, made the flooring- used Copic markers for coloring the image and the floor and background.

Stuck on You : )

I am honored to be joining Jan's Digital Stamps Challenges as a GDT for a few months!  I love the gorgeous floral images, but had to make my first cards for a couple sweet gum chewing ladies I know- for Valentines day. I could not resist!

I used the 664J Bubble Gum Machine digital set for these cards. I used the precolored images- they are perfect!  I cut them both out using the Scan n Cut. The set comes with colored and pre-colored images, plus sentiments as well.

I used a MFT die to cut out the blue, added the inner using an EF as a backdrop to the gumball machine. There is a very faint layer of Soft Sky ink sponged on around the edge of the blue frame that is not too visable. The sentimet is part of the set.

Jan is adding new images to the store all of the time, and has a few new beautiful sets available!  Check them out HERE!

The challenge is Anything Goes and lasts 2 weeks- please join us for a chance to win!  HERE is the link to the challenge blog.
