I made a card for my hubby for a Christmas Gift.
I used a fun House Mouse stamp by Stampa Rosa. ( I just bought another just like this at Tuesday Morning (Stampendous), the image is a bit larger than this one).
The image is colored using Copics. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamps.
I saw a challenge at SCS to make a Thank You card using an image of the gift you rec'd. Hubby bought me a new lens for my camera : )
I never dreamed that I would get the lens, I just asked for it to be funny. It was out of the range I thought hubby would spend. I look forward to trying to figure out HOW to use it. I take alot of pictures of birds- I started walking and birdwatching when I was caregiving for my mom with a friend that was also a caregiver.

Snowy and Smooth Alcohol inks!
I made this for a VSN challenge, but did not get it posted in time......
I had a background using Alcohol inks that I swiped across the page- found the technique from a Jennifer McGuire tutorial. How fun it was to play and create! You have to be very very careful IF you use Yupo paper and try to emboss on it, as it is plastic and melts quite easily. The sentiment is from Newtons Nook.
We visited my son and DIl in Colorado for our family Christmas. He is way out on the Western slope (more deserty weather), and each time we have come for Christmas, it snows here! LOL Usually, when it snows here it melts quickly- well....not when we visit! WOw- the scenery is stunning covered in snow!!!
My DD2 is on the far left- she lives in Fairfax Virginia, and is studying for her Phd in environmental sciences. Next, my DD1, she has her Masters degree in Education and teaches in Chicago- social studies. Next, my DIL is a teacher- 3rd grade this year. She is holding my Grandson- first Grand on either side of the family! My son has a nursing degree- just this year- in college he studied outdoor rec, but went on for another degree.
Here is a pic with hubby and I with the three kids. The DD! on the far left and our son on the far Rt are twins : )
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! I hope 202 brings you many blessings!!!

Life Been a Zoo???
I hope you have recovered from your festivities-if they are over....we are beginning a week in Colorado with my kids for our family Christmas- life is good!
When my siblings gathered, a few from out of town went to the zoo with my sister and I tagged along. It took us 3 hours to get 20 minutes from where she lived! But, we saw the zoo lights at Brookfield Zoo and had a fun time with family.
I am going to send this to one of them.....not sure who yet.....
The image by Newton's Nook is colored using Copic markers.

After Christmas Peeps
A little after Christmas relaxation, and I made a card for a challenge at SCS- Knit Wit. I did not have any whitty sentiments that went along with knitting, so just used a Unity sentiment,
I used an Alcohol Ink background in Yellows and blues for the background- done on white glossy cardstock. I inked up the EF by Sunny Studios using Marina Mist ink and ran it through the EF. I added the image which was cut out with a die and used Copic Markers to color in the images. The sentiment is by Unity. I punched it out using a 1 1/4 " punch.
I am the only girl in my family that knits, but I do enjoy it especially in the winter months!
I hope you had a Blessed Holiday- ours is not over quite yet....

Glorious Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. I do, so made another version of the Chriostmas card on my previous post.
I first made a version without the blue stars in the background
I like them both. I tried different ways of adding the silver alont the edges, double sided tape runner, just sponging on the Versamark ink and finally, putting a strip of paper down and sponging Versamark onto the edge that was uncovered.
God Bless and Merry Christmas!!!

Holiday Chaos Day 7- Friday Freebie
It's the last day of Holiday Chaos, and it is also Friday Freeboe day! This adorable image is free in the Bugaboo store for the next week. Remember, you have until 12/31 to enter your cards in the Holiday Chaos- you can make Holiday Thank You cards : )
I made this yellow for a VSN challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It's hard to imagine that so many spend Christmas in warm weather and never see snow! I also used a stencil that is a Zig Zag pattern for a Z Alpha challenge. And, finally, I made this yellow and purple- it is the year anniversary of my mom passing, and she loved yellow and purple.
The image is colored using Copics and a Wink of Stella pen. I had a shimmery Washi that is full of shimmer. The sentiment is Art Impressions. The oval punch and scalloped punch are from SU. The rectangle die is Memory Box stitched dies.
Challenges- TBA
