Sweet Stamps- Kraft Paper

The challenge at Sweet Stamps for this week is to use Kraft paper.
I had a fun Fall-colorful time making this card. I used Fall colors and daubered on color using Sweet Stamps Spots- Valentine, Peapod and ...........  through the Sweet Stamps stencil called Stained Glass. I highlighted around the edges of the card using French Roast (spot).
The leaves were cut using a Cheery Lynn die. They have great detail- you can see the veins in te leaves.
The image is stamped using Black Tuxedo Memento ink and colored using Copics. I used the 'Out of the Box' technique to cut the image using a die- as you see.
Our trees are already beginning to change colors and are falling from the trees. The weather is cool and the heat is on in the house.

Products I used from the Sweet Stamps Store:

Altered Playing Card challenge Week 5

I am playing along in the ALteRed  PlaYing CarDs challenge found HERE.  I am finally caught up- whew!  So, here are my Week #5 ATC's.
I am using supplies I have not touched in ages!  I have little ATC booklets and find I do not collage to much, so never seem to use these.  So, it is great to try these techniques.

For the ATC on the Lt- I painted the background brown, and painted the stencil on the BG in light blue and highlighted over the light blue with a darker blue. I added a little Washi on either side of the image.  The black on the Lt side is done with a Sharpie and I added highlights in white paint.

For the ATC on the Rt, I collaged the BG with Washi paper and highlighted around the washi edges in Antique Lien ink and then a fine point black sharpie.  The image is from an Asian themed ATC booklet and the stickers from G45 Bird Song. The gold stickers are Elizabeth Craft.

Altered Trading Card Week 4

I am playing along in the ALteRed  PlaYing CarDs challenge found HERE.  I am a week behind, so posting Week #4.

Week 1 we painted Gesso onto all of the cards. For this week, we used Acrylic Paints over the (dried) Gesso, and the theme was houses.
For the Lt sided ATC-  I used plain black cardstock and punched 'windows' which are backed up with Butterscotch coordinations cardstock. The Vera Lang Studio Digi images were colored with Copics, fussy cut and adhered to the card.
The Rt side ATC- I used scraps from my Technique Junkies box to make the houses and also cut out the clouds from the scrapbox. The bus was hand cut out. I was going to make an Asain theme, so the tissue paper has an Asian Kanji stamp added. The Happy Day sentiment is from a Studio G $1.00 stamp.

Find a Song.....

The 2nd to the last Technique Junkies Newsletter is out online today. I used a technique called Seam Binding Ribbon Dying to finish off this card.
We are having cool weather here in Chicago, and the birds are thinking of heading South........ We love watching the birds at the bird feeder and are entertained by all of them.
I used three different Technique Junkies stamps on this card. First off, I used Ranger Distress inks to create the background and to dye the Seam Binding to match.
