Stashbusters

Using our stash seems to be a very popular theme recently!  I am joining in on the 2nd year of 'Using Stash' for the 2nd year on Instagram in the Stashbusters challenge. .  Our theme was daisies and or the Spotlight technique for this past week. I made one of each theme.

I used a Great Impressions small stamp with 3 daisies, and repeatedly stamped it on the background.  I colored using Copics. The Hugs sentiment is by Altenew.

Again, using the Great impressions stamp, I made a background. I stamped the daisy stamp 3 times and made spotlight images. Again, coloring using Copics. The sentiment is Altenew.

Non-Valentine heart card

One of our Splitcoaststampers.com friends is having Open Heart surgery soon, and we are sending her Non-Valentine themed heart cards.

I pulled out this Unity Stamps image and stamped it, then created a mask.  Then I pulled out Distress sprays and went to town.  I used an old SU heart punch and a separate small heart punch and made a template to mask in hearts on the background in different colors.  The MFT die cut in black helped frame the main panel and I added an embossed layer below that too.
The sentiment and die cut are from Pink Fresh Studios.
I hope this will bring a smile to the recipients face!

Alpha B challenge

For the Splitcoast Alpha challenge, we are on B and one of the prompts is Bird.  I come up with the 2nd B word for my card. I made 2 cards again for this challenge

For this first image, I used an untouched stamp set- and the birds are on a branch.  The branch is torn cardstock.  The background is stenciled using a stencil that came with the stamps.  The images are water colored.

My next card uses a Whippersnapper image, colored using Copics.  I die cut it and added a die cut from Catherine Pooler (I think) if a pup foot in a heart.  Sentiment is Hero Arts.

Can I keep up this round?  We'll see!

Angels and more

I am part of a group over on Splitcoaststampers.com that participates in a challenge called the Alpha challenge (alphabet).  We are on season 22 this round!
We follow prompts each round and make cards that correspond with those prompts.

I used the prompt Angel, and I added Adhesive.  I made 2 cards

I used an angel die from SSS or Simon Says Stamps. I applied a double sided adhesive to the back of the white shimmery cardstock when I die cut it. I added it to a stenciled background using shimmer paste thru a stencil.

This angel die is from.....

This angel die is from (I need to check this ...)  and I added adhesive and added the gold bells.  The Joy is a Lawn Fawn die.  The shimmery background is made using
Technique Junkies Shimmery paste through a stencil- made at a Stamp show. I found the dove images in my die cut bin and have no clue where they are from.....
The shimmer from the background changes colors as the card changes angles.  It really does match the card IRL.

Sending hugs!

A paper crafting friend just lost her husband of many years, and I wanted to send her a card. Since I could not be there in person, I wanted to send a 'warm hugs' type card.

I just love this image and it sends a warm hug to the recipient!  My favorite color is pink, but I added multiple colors in the background Gelli Print for distraction , The Gelli Print was too small for the entire background, so I cut it in 3 equal parts, and employed some shimmery gold Washi strips.

Unused No More!

A couple of my crafty friends, Jeanette and Barb came up with a new challenge for 2025, Unused no more. Lets use some of the products we have on our shelves that are gathering dust!
I have a (clearing throat) few unused items.  We can use stamps, stencils, die cuts, embossing folders, etc....any crafty items we own.

I pulled out a Unity set that is unused except for one sentiment and made a card for a wedding I attended this past weekend.

The birdhouse is embossed using Queens Gold EP, and the birds stamped in Ballet Blue, then Versamark and clear EP was used.
I layered 2 die cuts I had - the top one from a used supplies sale, and the 2nd I will ID and edit my post.  A layer of gold cardstock was added. There is a sentiment inside also from the same Unity set.

We are a group that attends the 'Gather' retreat each year in Wisconsin in early April and craft the weekend away. Many of us met on Splitcoaststampers.com and are from across the miles (One friend is even joining this year from Canada!).  Those without blogs will post on Social Media somewhere.

These are the links to the ladies that are bloggers.  Each name is linkable to their blogs : )

Barb , CarolJeanette TerryRebekahDarlene , LJ has a blog but mostly posts to Instagram, Angela, Terry and Kathy will post on Social Media.
