Hi! I hope you are enjoying the fall colors! I had fun creating with this darling Bugaboo image:
I am doing pretty well with CAS cards- they are getting easier : ) This fun image makes the card go together quickly- in fact, I made 30 of these for an adult day care for clients with Dementia and Alzheimers. My Mom has dementia, and I have to say, such centers are such a blessing when you do not want to put your loved one into a 'facility'.
For this 2nd card, I cut our the ghosts on my Silhouette and just added a sentiment from Create with TLC.
Challenges:
Catch the Bug- Color Challenge - 1st card
My Mom is still here with me, and we have been having a great time with the beautiful color changes here:

One Layer
I am trying to create CAS and one layer cards, so jumped at the chance for this Asian mingle. I always love seeing what other members of the mingle come up with.
I stamped the image on post-it notes and made a mask, fussy cut it out. I stamped the image and then placed the mask over it. I masked 1/2" on all sides also using post-it notes. I sponged on the red. The leaf and Kanji images were then stamped onto the red. I colored the image using Copics, There is Sakura Stardust Gelky roll pen on the calligraphy pen holder and around the edge of the red mask.
I bought the Geisha and leaf/bird image at a stamp sale, so do not know who makes them.
My partner Nancy F. sent me this cool card:
The red is embossed. I do not know where she got this cool Asian Washi, but I love it. I turned the card on its side for picture taking just for the Washi.
Challenges (for the first card) card:
Alphabet Challenge- Q is for quick and simple
Crazy Challange- Red

DDD September and October
Well, it is that time of the month, and I missed the last 2 months..... happy to say I found some stamping time and am able to join in on the Dueling Darlings challenge for this month, and included a card from last month as well.
This month, our kit was from Paola, and it included some gorgeous Fall colors! I really enjoyed putting this card together. I am going to use this for a 60th Birthday, and put, "That you made it to 60" on the inside!!! I love the gorgeous ribbon we received and it is prettier IRL.
I love the colors of the leaves on the ground, and am amazed on how Mother Nature works her magic with the Fall beauty!
I made a card from the kit Tracey sent last month as well- love this kit as well!
Tracey (and Barb) also had a fall theme w.colors and used owls as a theme, so I got to have some coloring fun. I cut out the image with a Memory Box stitched die and colored it in with Copics. The ribbon is from Paola's kit, and I flipped it over to the backside- beautiful ribbon! The leaves, brads and doily die are all recollections.
We are to mention our favorite trick or treating event. I have many- we lived in a neighborhood with many large families. We had one house where a local orthodontist would dress up and lay down in a coffin out on his front porch. When we went to his door, he would sit up (scare the pants off some of the kids) and give you your treat. We always loved going there- it was scary, but fun too.
The Dueling Darlings are a group on Splitcoaststampers. We are divided up into the Divas and the ***Dazzlers***. Each group receives a kit, and we all create with a like theme. Then, we hop to each others blogs to see what everyone has created. The links are on my sidebar- stop on by and see how the other ladies interpreted the theme : )

Unusual Sympathy Card
I made a card for a SCS cardmaker that is such a nice person- not only inspirational, but most encouraging. She also makes gorgeous Asian cards. She has recently lost her husband, so I made her this card:
I was a bit late- I seem to do alot of that lately..... But, had to send a card. I played with a stamp I bought at a garage sale which I thought looked like water (Stampscapes) and a Koi die by Cheery Lynn Designs. I had a shimmery orange scrap that was screaming to be used. I added a few highlights with a white paint pen.
Hoping you are having a fabulous day!

Hey Pun'kin
It seems the last few months have flown by! We are getting to the beautiful fall season, with changing colors and cooler days. The thing I love best about this season is Pumpkin pie and Pumpkin decorating, well and fall colors..... : )
I made a couple of Fall themed cards using a Michael Strong stamp set that I recently purchased. This is almost a one layer card, I added the pumpkins, the leaf and the flower as a 2nd layer.
Next, I tried a one layer card CASE'ing a card I saw on Stamp TV. I will try this again- it was quite fun : )
Finally, here is a card I received in a 1-4-1 card swap in the Michael Strong Yahoo group
by Carla.
Too sweet, Huh?
I have been MIA- and here is why- My son was married this past weekend in Breckenridge : )
The wedding was at the Griffith Lodge in Breckenridge.
Here is a sweet picture:
Chris, Kayla and my mother Kathleen (Kaye).
Thanks for stopping by!
