Autumn/Halloween with Michael Strong Stamps

The ladies in the Michael Strong Yahoo group are having a Halloween/Autumn Blog Hop today- it is Michael's Birthday. Happy Birthday Michael!!!

The Hop started at Michael's Blog, and if you are hopping, you came here from Peg's Blog : )

I decided to make an Autumn card- I have a goal to USE stamps that have NOT seen ink yet. I used the Seasonal Silhouettes stamp set.

I used Distress ink pads on the background and blended on Fall colors : Barn Door, Shabby Shutters, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge. I inked up the leaf and not the outer border using Distress markers Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Barn Door and Wild Honey. I added Antique Linen over the top as the white cardstock was a little stark looking......  Next, I added the black border with the Distress Ink (Black) marker.  I huffed on the stamp and I really like how the leaves have variety in color.

The sentiment is from McMahon Five Designs (which has closed).
I used cardstock from DCWV Brights, and added a few sequins (generic).

Your next stop on the Hop is Laura.

If you leave a comment on all of the blogs, you will have a chance to WIN Mike's new Pumpkin Harvest stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Your card is lovely Shelly. Michael Strong was a regular teacher at one of the local scrapbook stores I used to be a DT member at. His classes were always so popular. He's a sweet man.

Oooh, what a beautiful palette! Love how you stamped all the leaves--really great background! Love the little leaves on the center piece, too! The twine bow and sequins finish it off perfectly! :^)
Hope you are having a good weekend! (Sorry that your Bears are dismantling your team already. Bummer.)
