CYS- Fall Colors

October - Vickie - Vickie Y CYSOCT
~~use autumn colors to create an autumn/fall card/project:
I combined this challenge with the Splitcoast Technique challenge and came up with this card:

I have had this die for a couple of years and I think I have not used it on a card- that I can remember.  I cut a piece of cardstock with a napkin over it and did my best to adhere it to cardstock, then added layers of color using distress inks.  The sentiment is Graciellie Designs.
I used Marmalade and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks on the background for color.

I love this look- try this if you can- you can watercolor on the napkin die cut with any ink spritzed with water- SU inks, reinkers, distress inks.....  This look is pretty cool don't you think???

HERE is the link to the CYS gallery for October over at Splitcoaststampers.  Last years cards will also show up!
We are using up our unused supplies!!!

You can find us at Splitcoaststampers.com , forums, Swaps, cards, closed- Challenge your Stash.
It says closed swap, but Barb is happy to have new members!

Gee, I was surprised to read this was the napkin technique. I thought it was a real pressed flower. LOL. Job well done!

It looks like you have attached a real flower directly to the front of your card, Shelly!! What a beauty!!
