DDD September and October

Well, it is that time of the month, and I missed the last 2 months.....  happy to say I found some stamping time and am able to join in on the Dueling Darlings challenge for this month, and included a card from last month as well.

This month, our kit was from Paola, and it included some gorgeous Fall colors!  I really enjoyed putting this card together. I am going to use this for a 60th Birthday, and put, "That you made it to 60" on the inside!!!  I love the gorgeous ribbon we received and it is prettier IRL.
I love the colors of the leaves on the ground, and am amazed on how Mother Nature works her magic with the Fall beauty!

I made a card from the kit Tracey sent last month as well- love this kit as well!

Tracey (and Barb) also had a fall theme w.colors and used owls as a theme, so I got to have some coloring fun. I cut out the image with a Memory Box stitched die and colored it in with Copics. The ribbon is from Paola's kit, and I flipped it over to the backside- beautiful ribbon! The leaves, brads and doily die are all recollections.

We are to mention our favorite trick or treating event. I have many- we lived in a neighborhood with many large families.  We had one house where a local orthodontist would dress up and lay down in a coffin out on his front porch. When we went to his door, he would sit up (scare the pants off some of the kids) and give you your treat.  We always loved going there- it was scary, but fun too.

The Dueling Darlings are a group on Splitcoaststampers. We are divided up into the Divas and the ***Dazzlers***. Each group receives a kit, and we all create with a like theme.  Then, we hop to each others blogs to see what everyone has created. The links are on my sidebar- stop on by and see how the other ladies interpreted the theme : )

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

I love what you did with both cards. That owl is still one of my favorite fall stamps. Great take on the challenge.

My goodness, Shell - we are both catching up, LOL! I'm glad to see both of these lovelies! A great job on the cards, with coloring and designing them and they both match - they look like twinsie Autumn cards!

You've been so busy (like me) and glad to see you are back in the saddle!

COngratulations to your family and the recent wonderful moments happening for you! ♥

Shelly, this is beautiful. I love fall and your colors and design just made me smile. Have a wonderful week. Haven't had much time to create anything lately. Running to the hospital doesn't leave a lot of desk time. I retire at the end of the month so hopefully I'll get more time in November. Have a wonderful week!

Fabulous cards Shelly- I do love the fall colours you have - we do get some, but not as intense as those we see in photos from the States.

These are both really gorgeous creations Shelly!! :) I just love the rich and warm colors on both of them!! You've done such a beautiful job with the kit!!

P.S. I'm assuming you found the answer to the question about the twist gate fold card? Yes. It does fit inside an A2 envelope, you just may have to angle it around to make it fit right is all. :)

Shelly, your cards are gorgeous and so beautifully representative of the fall season. Love those beautiful papers used on both cards. On the October duel card those beautifully colored leaves really enhance the papers along with that leaf brad and twine embellishments! Love how the beautifully colored owl image on the second card! Great job!!
