More DTGD

I had a few minutes to play today, so made a couple of cards for the DTGD challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

I love this image- when Krista, owner at Saturated Canary offered to make digi's for a limited number of requests, I sent in a picture of my youngest Stephanie running and requested an image. Stephi developed Vocal Cord Dysfunction in High School that significantly affected her times. She worked with a Speech Therapist and finally in college, was able to get her rhythm back. She joined the running club at college, and ended up winning 1st place in the 6K race 2 years in a row in outdoor running. For Cross Country, she was 6th in the country Junior year and 4th in the country Senior year.  The club running kids run with a National Organization called NIRCA.  I love that she worked so hard to overcome adversity, and worked hard at achieving her personal goals.
Sentiments are from TLC.  I cut 2 sentiments apart to get Go Green!

This is a card for a relative who just had a huge surgery- praying for a speedy recovery and a decrease in her pain soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Hi Shelly,
I never heard of vocal chord dysfunction. How amazing of her to overcome it and achieve such lofty goals. It's so cool you have an digital image in honor of her!

Your card using it is adorable and I know she just loved it.

Your other card is beautiful and I know your friend will love it....it looks like some good medicine to me!

You can be truly proud of your daughter for overcoming the problems, and going on to excel in the things that interested her. Love that you've been able to make such a special card that just fits the events in her life, and I know she will be so pleased to have this. Please pass along my congratulations...not everyone has the strength to do what she's done. Also love the pretty floral card...the embossing gleam shows off the blossom so pretty. Best wishes to your neighbor for a speedy recovery too. TFS & Hugs

Such lovely cards. How amazing that you were able to get a customized digital image. That would be a great business idea for an artist...having people send in pictures and they design a custom digital image. I've never heard of that before.

WOW!! That is completely awesome that she designed an image to personalize it for you!! That is totally amazing and what a wonderful story behind it too!! :) Your cards here are absolutely gorgeous Shelly! Wonderful coloring and such clever takes on the challenges too!! I was so worn out afterwards and then I had to go straight into my creations for the Dirty Dozen DT that's being released on Monday! Hope you'll stop by to take a look at the theme and what we've come up with! :) HUGS
