Sympathy

I had to make a couple of Sympathy cards, so inked up one of my (unused) stamp sets from SU.

Even though I need absolutely NO more DP, when I saw this stack (1/2 off) on Cyber Monday at Michaels, I had to have it....... It is by Paper Studios- Country Road.
The floral stamp and 'Thoughts' are by SU from the set Best Thoughts. The sympathy stamp is by Unity.
The image is colored with Copics, CAS for me- getting easier......... The reason for making these cards, not too easy.

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Shelly, gorgeous cards and so sorry that you had to make sympathy cards. I made two more this week also. I hate making these kinds of cards but I know they are so important. You've done a beautiful job with these cards and I'm sure they will bring comfort to the receiver. Have a wonderful week.

These are beautiful! Love how you've colored the image and although they may not be easy to make, they will be very much appreciated.

These are so beautiful! Making sympathy cards are always so difficult for me to make...I should just forge ahead and make some with the inspiration I received here!

Beautiful color to these!

Shelly these sympathy cards are not easy to make, but are fabulous for all that - I try to have some 'on hand' so I am not making them under the duress of loosing a friend.

Well, three things. One, sympathy cards are the hardest cards to make in my opinion. Two, I love me some grandma paper and this DP qualifies. Three, your cards turned out pretty!

Wow, they are so gorgeous! Stunning image, and really love the coloring and CAS designs! :^)
So sorry if you had to make these for people in your life--my condolences. I find it really difficult to make sympathy cards, so usually buy those...
Hope you are having a good weekend!
Big hugs, Penny

That paper does go well with the stamp set! I have the best thoughts stamp set too...and haven't used it either. I specifically got it for sympathy cards as I had zero Stampin' Up! stamps to use for that occasion. Love the coloring you did. I haven't tried copics yet... maybe someday.
