Stampaway

I spent the weekend at my parents home in Ky, and was able to get away for a couple of hours and get over to Stampaway in Cincinnati at the Sharonville Convention Center.

I had a limited time, as my Mother came with me, so had to 'speed shop'...... I was able to find a thing or two I 'needed'. Oh deer, I caved and bought the TH Birds........ I need a new paper cutter, and was researching and saw good reviews on the Carl Cutter, so decided to buy one.

I was so thrilled to run into a blogging friend from the Technique Junkies (at the Technique Junkies booth too), who I have been in communication with for quite a few years, Laverne W. from Nashville, Tenn.

I spent some time coloring with Mom after we got back home....... A sneak peak at one of my fun colored images (Northwood Rubber Stamps):

Here is how I travel with Copics:

I have a three drawer storage unit- the drawers hold the 72 marker holders- four trays across.  I simply take the drawer out, put it in the car and bring it along : )

I have not had much computer time this past week- promise I will get to blogs in the next couple of days!

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Sounds like a fun get-a-way to me and it never hurts to come home with a stash! Meeting a friend is also special but really... my eyes are still bugging out at that drawer full of Copics. I never care how many anyone has, it's just seeing them all grouped together like that makes me weak!

Hi Shelly. I sure wish we could have met up at Stampaway! It was such fun, and I see you have the same NW hummer that I have. That was where I did my worst sinning, at their booth. Their stamps are just so wonderfully designed and always stamp out so nicely. There was a pretty religious triptych I wanted, but no more. They said they would mail (and normally I would NOT do that!), but advised to give them 2 wks to get it to me. It came on the 14th...wow! what great C/service. I love your sneak peak at the delightful hummer & his blossoms. Hope I can do even close to as nice an effort as you did. Good way to carry your copics too. I have one of those big scrapbook bags with all the wallets in it, but the bag rolls. (DH bought it, else I'd use something else!) Glad you got to meet your blog buddy. TFS & Hugs. Happy wkend, hope you're rested up.
