SweetStamps- Paper Piecing

You still have time to enter the Paper Piecing Challenge at SweetStamps this week- link HERE.

Remember when we could not wait until winter ended, and swore we would not complain about the heat- whatsoever???  Hahaha  Well, it is not overly hot here, but the humidity- 65-100% it so bad!
I used Ink Spots and daubered on colors onto the cardstock.  I started with a SweetStamps stencil AS36-011 Abstract (sneak peak- soon to be released! ), using the blues for the water- lightest to darkest (Reflecting Pool, then Tidal Wave then Nassau Blue).  I sponged on the sand colors, then tore a piece of copy paper and sponged on- lightly- Tidal Wave ink for the sky.
I stamped the chair and umbrella and the sun onto the cardstock (for placement) and added the paper pieced cut-outs.  I would sure love to be there right now : )

Products I used on my card can be found HERE

Challenges for my card:
Crazy 4 Challenges- Vacation Spots
Simply Create Too- Keep it Simple
4 Crafty Chicks- Summer

Gorgeous sponging on this wonderful card Shelly! WOW! That water looks so real! What a beautiful beach scene and I'm wishing I was wherever it is. SO very pretty!
Know exactly what you mean about the humidity - come to Texas and you can have it more days than not!

You created a wonderful scene. Yes, I remember those cold days. After one week of temps in the high 70's, we're back at 60 degrees and windy. So sad, especially since I am off every other weekend, and this is the cold weekend I'm off. Oh well, getting caught up watching taped tv shows.

This would have been the perfect place for us to be yesterday when it hit 100 for the first time this year! Yuck. Love your water, Shelly. It's real enough to just take a quick dip. :-D

Great paper piecing, Shelly. I LOVE the way you made the water. It's beautiful! I spent my weekend in Elkhart for my son's wedding. Beautiful wedding but nasty weather. Have a great week!

What a darling scene you created! Love the entire design, and that water is just fabulous! I wish I was there right now, too! ;^)

P.S. We had such a strange, cool May here, but we are up in the 100's now for the duration, I believe. Lucky us. (But it's a DRY heat!)

Wonderful card! Love the beach and sunshine! I live in Florida but the sun hasn't been shinning for us this week, rather is been raining non-stop :( This card sure does have me wishing the sun would come out to play, lol! Thank you for sharing it in the challenge this week! Have a wonderful day!
