Sweet Stamps Anything Goes

It's another great challenge at Sweet Stamps .  Our challenge theme for this week is Anything Goes.

I have LOTS of Nieces and Nephews- and they are at the age where they ask for Gift Cards (boo).  I saw a post on Paige's Blog for a nice way to present Gift Cards- Matchboxes.  So, I decided to go ahead and make a few- I have few more to go yet......
I took pictures along the way so you can see what I did- another fun use for the Envelope Punch Board!

 Here we go.......
Start with a 6 x 6 piece of cardstock. Punch and score:
Side A  @ 2" and 3" ,  Side B @ 3" and 4", Side C @ 2" and 3" and Side 3 @ 3" and 4"
Notice that 2 ends are 'smaller' than the other 2 sides.

On one of the ends, you will punch the notch Fold over the end tab, insert it into the punch board- 'eyeball' the center and punch.

 It will look like this:

Fold over on the score lines to crease them well. I added one more crease as you might see- on the flaps, for when I fold them over to glue them down...I do this by just folding them over (I do not use the score board for that).

Cut these slits on both ends, fold them up and in....and glue them to the end piece.

After you glue the end tabs, glue down the tabs as shown above.  Next, you will cut a piece of the DP to slide inside on the bottom.

Glue ribbon to the bottom of the box before you adhere the cardstock over the bottom of the box- that will hold the gift card in place : )

Next, I did a little math and figured out how to made a cover for the box.Use score line tape to attach the end.You can decide where you want the seam at. I cut the DP at 3 3/4 x 6 1/2. I had to piece the DP to make it 6 1/2 " wide. I scored at 1/4",  1", 3 3/8", 4 1/8" and 6 1/2" for my cover.

Now all you have to do is add your embellishments : )

Here are the Sweet Stamps products I used for my Matchboxes:
